I hope Hodgson fully heals, he has a very deceptively fast stride, yuo wouldnt think he has that extra gear by looking athis stocky build, but thats how he catches defensman of guard and burns them, similar to Jonathan Toews, Toews is 2 inches taller but Hodgson is severely underrated, I think he'll be a very good offensive player in the NHL, something like 40 goals, 45 assists, good 2 way centerman, captain, Mike Richards/ Jonathan Toews type of player, his speed wont be back for another yr tho

That was all in juniors, he has not translated any success at the pro level yet. Even local broadcasters have said, he's ALWAYS had good players to play with (Grachev, Duchene). How good is he on his own remains to be seen.

To Tavares's credit, Hodgson had 16 points, Tavares had 15, and Tavares had more clutch goals, top it off, 6 of those pointsthat Hodgson had came against Khazikstan aswell, both could've gotten the MVP really when you think about it, one wasn't that more deserving over the other, it was a coin flip, but they gave it to Tavares because he was an up and coming superstar, made the play to Eberle for the dying goal against Russiam, scored 2 goals against USA when Canada was down 3-0 etc...

Hodgson can't play for Moose next year. Players who play in CHL aren't eligible to play in the AHL until they are 20. He played in the AHL playoffs last season because the Battalion season was over. It's the NHL or back to the OHL. I really don't see he playing anywhere but for the Canucks next year. What's left to accomplish in juniors? He was OHL & CHL Player of the Year, won gold with Canada and lead the WJC in points. I think he's ready.

One part of Hodgson's offensive arsenal that doesn't get talked about a lot is his lethal backhand. There's an example of it in this comp, early on in a game against Kingston. He scored a good few goals like that, high slot, backhand shot, top shelf.
