  • i heard the knick s wants him badly it would be ashame coach for them they hated him badly

  • OVERATED.... any coach could win with jordan/kobe/shaq on their side.. he has never built a team from scratch he had 2 best shooting guards of all time and a top 3 center of all time.

  • @hahahahahahahaha umad you Heat fanboy faggot

  • @hahahahahahahaha you have no idea about basketball. greatest coach of all time. kobe nor jordan won a championship til phil jackson came on the scene.

  • @gfscarface,i dont need to study nathan,u need to read my comment better 1

  • @Deadshot089,thank you fam, thats all I been sayin all along.Even though he only has 1 ring,i respect the hell outta Larry Brown cause he takes the most garbage teams n turns them into playoff caliber squads:note a Philly team wit only A.I and they 2nd best player was Theo Ratcliff bfore they traded for Motumbo!!Until I see that zen master black magic turn the Twolves,Kings,n any other booty squad into a playoff/championship team ,Phil will allways b a frontrunner 1

  • @29larron Frontrunner? Wow, you need to study the NBA.

In the NBA the Head Coaches are Always in a NO WIN SITUATION.

If the Team wins, the Players get the Credit

If the Team losses, the Head Coach takes the Blame

So where is the credit for the Head Coach? Where?

Do you really think any Head Coach in the NBA could have won Titles Phil won?

Look at the 2011 Heat, Loaded w/ Hall of Fame Talent & what happend? Lost, you still need Great Coaching to Motivate & put you in the Position to Win.

  • i wwanna see phil jackson coach todays bulls.

  • @MrSuperhollowvegeta Hey do u know is phil jackson is back ?

  • phil jackson is the greatest coach the game has ever seen.

  • Phil Jackson= The Zen Master of Perseverance and Peace of Mind

  • nobody fuck up the 0 dislikes. keep it at 0

  • Coach Phil Jackson have faith in God that's why he been gifted as the best coach in the NBA basketball history.

  • to the people who say phil jackson only won because of the talent he had on his teams and not because he was a good coach, i have only one thing to say...... the 2005-2006 los angeles lakers

  • /watch?v=08T90JLeSxQ&feature=channel_video_title

    lakers new coach?

  • May you go in peace where ever the lord takes you Coach Jackson.

    The Vince Lombardi of Basketball!!!!!!!

  • When guys like Jordan, Pippen, O'neal or Bryant call you "the GOAT". Yes, you are really the GOAT.

  • phil jackson>red auerbach

  • Phil Jackson is the "blackest" white coach you will ever find, god he is such a BEAST!!!

  • @Albofolife1013 that is such a fucking gay comment.

  • Phil Jackson knows how to create the most powerhouse teams ever...

  • Phil is half black

  • @Mrgoose87 No he's not. Look at his old college pics, dude is white as white can be. Even look at his Knick days

  • Phil Jackson is the best.having to coach great players like michael, kobe and shaq and be able to win the championships makes a formidable opponent just by sitting on the bench during gametime

  • "He's absolutely brilliant in bringing a group together to accomplish one common goal" by.......Kobe Bryant??!?*#? who? Do you remember any Kobe vs Shaq question??

However Phil Jackson is a great, Christian head coach. The GOAT

  • Shaq was amazing when phil got him, jordan, pippin and rodman were also all great when phil got him. OVERRATED COACH

  • @vandal8906 you have to realize players themselves not always make themselves great. they need great coaches to make them even better than they are. and phil jackson is an example

  • the man is going for his 4th 3peat... not his 4th championship (which would be impressive by itself), his 4th 3PEAT

  • It doesn't matter what players you have on a team , it matters that those players to have a chemestry , that's what phil doese , that's why he is the best

  • Phil Jackson is a true NBA legend.....greatest coach of all time!!

  • best coach of all time with 11 rings-first reason why he's best ; second-he coached greatest players ever Kobe, Jordan, Shaq, Pippen, Rodman (even Rodman, can you believe that?) , and now Pau.

Damn, I swear to God, I want to play on Phil's team.

  • Happy birthday Phil!

  • Whats there to argue about?

    Best coach of All Time

  • Phil Jackson is a good coach because he really gets inside players heads and toys with it. He motivates and challenges his players. Has absolute belief. I don't think he things of losing when he was a player or now as a coach. He is just a fearless competitor. And I also loved the thing he said about the Arizona state law on immigration. A true patriot.

  • He will have his hands full next season. if he can win one more time. he really is great.

  • phil jackson may very well be the greatest coach ever, but we don't know that for sure to be true. the only reason people say he is, is because he has all those championships. but to say that he's the greatest because he has the most championships is to imply that coaches when championships on their own individual merits (without players) and we know that's not true. if phil jackson were to coach the new york knicks and pat riley, the chicago bulls, which team would've won that first 3 peat???

  • @FuckUtube2008 pat riley would not have won a three-peat. pat riley is known for being so hard on his teams that he exhausts them... he did repeat once, but his methods of yelling at players during timeouts wore them out... phils greatness really lies in his ability to make his team adjust on their own... thats why he has three, going on four threepeats...

  • @nuccanucca90 you might have a point there cause i heard stephen a smith pretty much saying the same thing about riley when he was on the larry king show the other night.

  • @badasschill If Lebron and Bosh both go tot he Bulls, one of them cannot get the full $16 Million max contract, one of them needs to take the smaller contract. I don't think Chris Bosh is willing to do that.

  • if he ran for president, i would vote for him

  • since when is phil jackson coach of the lakers? always thought he was with the bulls.didnt he win 3 championships with the bulls and michael jordan?

    damn how wrong i was

  • 11 and count...

  • crab man

  • the 2001 lakers were the best playoff team eve,r so what are you talking about? I don't recall the bulls only losing 1 game ever in any playoff run.

  • Phil "The G.O.A.T." Jackson, The Greatest Coach In The NBA!!

  • Look at that damn mustache!

    HE'S THE FUCKING MAN!!

    GO LAKERS!

  • @badasschill I don't know about that. If Lebron James and Dwyane Wade do indeed team up with each other next year, possibly on the Knicks, that team won't lose more then 5 games.

  • @arodaman how do think that is possible wade and lebron

  • @oliverrainman A few teams have enough cap room to sign two max free agents. The Heat and the Knicks mainly. Wade and Lebron could both go to NYC.

  • Anytime anyone wins with a 3-center rotation of Luc Longley, Bill Wennington, and John Salley....they are the greatest =)

    Phil is the greatest

  • basically lebron james isnt gonna be better than jordan, and hes not better than kobe even .

  • not to bulls fans of coarse, but to Phil it does. Thats why he has the most rings than any other coach.

  • who's better than phil jackson? no one

  • an obvious bull fan rant

  • Comment removed

  • PHIL JACKSON = BEST OF THE BEST!!!

  • Will always be a great bull. To me he will always great coach to my Lakers. In 2012 he ends his career with 12 championships! He completes it. 6 to for the bulls and my Lakers!

  • GOAT.

  • the G.O.A.T

  • Greatest coach not only in NBA history, but of all sports' history. 10 titles......no explaination needed.

  • I don't give a shit what anybody else says about Phil Jackson. Any Coach that can start from scratch, and bring a World Championship from what he has to work with, in my opinion has got to be "The Greatest Coach Ever!".

Phil Jackson, you'all always be The Greatest Coach in Laker History.

  • hey jiltedin why dont you suck phil jacksons dick while you're at it

  • @Jiltedin2007 I don't think the greatest coach of all time would have lost to a clearly outtalented pistons team in 2004, especially with Lakers having home court advantage.

  • @pjstjkvc16 Well considering the fact that he was coaching a Lakers Team that has all of a sudden lost their continuity, he did the best that he could have under the circumstances. That's why he took a Leave of Absence after that disaster of a NBA Final. But he returned, and brought the Lakers back to the top of the Basketball World.

Especially after at one time saying that the Lakers had a collective IQ of Negative something. Phil Jackson built a Championship Team with that Illogical Team

  • @Jiltedin2007 i think that's a bunch of crap..considering they lost their continuity..that's like blaming a team with the most talent for losing because they have no chemistry. coaches are supposed to deal with that, and that's no excuse for a coach to have. the pistons' best player was probably billups, who's a borderline hall of famer, and you had the lakers have 4 hall of famers on their team. considering the fact they lost their continuity. please.

  • @pjstjkvc16 Facts are facts! Why did the Lakers break up during the Summer in 2004? Jackson took a Leave of Abscence, Shaq wanted out because he hated Kobe, Fisher signed with Golden State. If anything, Jerry West should have stepped in and made everyone be in peace with one another. But Mitch Kupchak was the Lakers General Manager at the time.

Shaq said it himself, we were like a messed up car that year. NOBODY'S PERFECT!

  • @Jiltedin2007 I still don't think that's an excuse for a coach. Now if the Lakers didn't make the Finals with that team, then maybe I would think differently. Fact is, the Pistons didn't have more talent, but had the better TEAM, and their coach outcoached Phil Jackson. Plain and simple. Make all theexcuses you want. I don't care if they weren't gelling. You don't come one fortunate shot away by Kobe from getting swept with homecourt and that talent. No excuse whatsoever for Phil

  • @pjstjkvc16 who gives a crap! The man has 11 NBA Championships, and your talking about one he lost seven freakin years ago! You really have issues if you think just because he didn't win it that year! So that's just a bunch of bullcrap!!!

  • @Jiltedin2007 bulls too

  • @mrwarped Yes, The Greatest Coach of the Chicago Bulls! Answer me this: Why couldn't Doug Collins take the Michael Jordan Bulls to the NBA Finals? Let alone the Championship.

  • @Jiltedin2007 no triangle offense? having Michael do all the work maybe?

  • @mrwarped Yeah I admit, before there was Phil Jackson, the Chicago Bulls were "A One Man Show". And you knew who the One Man was that ran the show.

  • @Jiltedin2007 and the bulls. don't forget the double three-peat

  • @VogueMraz Yes, of course! The main reason why the Lakers got him, to repeat what he has accomplished with the Bulls in the 90's. Shaq and Kobe loved him!

  • @Jiltedin2007 I want him to comeback to the NBA and coach a team like the cavs or wolves and prove to me he can coach. Because I personally think he won all those championships because he coached two good teams and great players like MJ, Pippen, Rodman, Shaq and Kobe and great players. I want him to coach a team like the cavs or wolves right now and if he can at least take them to a conference series then i'll say he's the best coach ever.

  • @Deadshot089 You'll NEVER see that happen because now that Phil Jackson is engaged with Jeannie Buss, Phil Jackson is now married to the Lakers.

  • 2005-2006 Lakers, Smush Parker as starting PG and Kwame Brown as starting C and Kobe Bryant was the only star. They almost defeated a heavily-offense loaded Suns.

  • @Xilen7 But they still lost...

  • Phil Jackson is a jackass he thinks hes so damn smart yet he inherits these great teams hes never had to rebuild a team because he abandons ship he cant take losing like a man.

  • Then how did he take a group of Basketball Morons to a World Championship? Let's see Red Auerbach, Pat Riley or perhaps Greg Popovich accomplish a feat like that.

  • You the one that said "basketball morons" .When you have a team like the "Lakers" whom see to be in the championship every year which is boring unless your a "Lakers Fan" then of course you're going to look like a genius no matter who coaches. It's funny how nobody considers "Don

  • Nelson or Lenny Wilkens great coaches

do you have to win championships to be the Greatest Ever? I guess in this selfish society with the "LaLa Land atitude "you do have to win a championship or your nobody.I've been a Warriors fan since I was a kid .What have the "Warriors" done the last 32 years? They've missed the playoff 26 of those years.I still stick with them I don't think any of you bandwagon Lakers fans would do that . Lets kick ass on the "Lakers" Beat L.A. NOW!!!!!!!!!

  • Of course, a San Franciscan jealous of Los Angeles sucess. Leave it to San Francisco to smack Los Angeles. Well Buddy, once upon a time not too long ago, Phil Jackson said that the "Championship Team" known to you as the Lakers, "Have a coolective Basketball I.Q. of Negative ?"(I forgot the number). Have you forgotten about that? But he turned that around.

Yes, Don Nelson is a Good Coach, and Lenny Wilkens deserves credit for winning a World Championship in Seattle in 1979.

  • Jealous of L.A. sucess??? Well if the "City of Angels" is so sucessful, how come they lost 2 NFL teams the same year to only be without one still?

Why all you have in L.A. are millions of lllegals, smog, riots, crypt gangs & Hollywood phonies!!!!

  • And what does San Francisco have? Gays wherever you go. Although we have only ONE Suburb in West Hollywood. The entire city of San Francisco is Gay!

And we really don't give a shit about the Rams, or the Raiders. The Raiders are now back with you, so just shut your Pie Hole about Football. At least we have Hockey, and no, San Jose does not count as being San Francisco.

You still want to talk shit about Los Angeles?

  • Don't you ever get tired of hating on people you don't even know? What's it like being a bitter Warriors fan?

  • The "Dodgers" can go to hell !!!!!

  • angels go to heaven?

    get your own city Angels..

    -__-

  • Not all Laker fans are "bandwagon fan". You're just jealous because your team isn't that good. "Beat L.A. NOW!!!!!!!!". Why don't you worry about your team trying to make the playoffs before you worry about my Lakers?

  • He took on this Laker team in 2005, a season after they failed to make the playoffs. He lost in the first round two years in a row, and in the finals in 2008. Sounds like 4 years of "rebuilding" to me.

  • You're not a Warriors Fan are you????

It's been 32 years of rebuilding so I don't think four years ist that much!

  • It's been 32 years of losing, not "rebuilding".

  • Kiss the rings bitch.

  • kiss my ass punk!

  • How about if you kiss my Dick...Mother Fucker!

  • KISS THE RINGS BITCH!

    LMFAO NICE!

  • Hahaha!!! I forgot I typed that!!!

  • Phil Jackson is clearly better than Red Auerbach!

  • Phil Jackson is now The Greatest Coach in NBA History! Now that Phil Jackson has passed Red Auerbach for most Championships coached, it's clear cut obvious that Phil Jackson was far better that Red Auerbach. Enough said!

Phil Jackson built the 2009 Lakers World Championship Team from Scratch!

The same team, at one time, Phil Jackson said that they had A Basketball I.Q. of Negative Something, Phil took to Ultimate Glory. Let's see Popovich pull something like that out of a hat!

  • Phil did not built squat. He is not the GM. Kupchak brought the players. Whether you know it or not no one has ever complained about Popovich. Jordan, Pippen, Shaq and Kobe all hated the socialist Triangle offense for years. Kobe stomaches it for image sake. Phil has been accused of being a condescending, arrogant manipulative person for years. His offense is overrated. Needs a go to scorer to score at the end of the clock in order to function. Jordan had 3 perimeter scorers..

  • The Spurs teams were never the most talented teams in the league. They had arguably the best chemistry. Everyone has a role. Do not need to talk about Shaq and Kobes drama. Phil did not coach squat in Chicago either. Never challenged Jordan. No one did. The coaches who did were fired. Popovich won with above average talenta t best. Jackson never won anything without multiple dominant players.

  • Why dont you talk about Radmanovic wanting out if Phil was such a good coach. Stated himself the offense is limiting. How Phil has cost Laker games by limiting Bryant for the sake of lesser players. That sound like a great coach to you? Sorry there are better.

  • If better than who?

  • Jackson I believe has actually 12 rings. He has won 10 as a coach 2 as a player.

  • correct.

  • 10 as a coach, 1 as a player. He sat out for the 1970 season so he didn't get a ring.

  • someone needs to update wikipedia and its sources then.

  • Reggie Jackson did not play for the A's in 1972 when they won the World Series, but he got himself a World Series Ring. If you are a Member of a Championship Team, whether or not you are involved in winning the Championship, you still get a Ring.

  • Yes, but the difference is that Phil Jackson wasn't even a part of the roster in the 1970 Championship-winning Knicks. He was not a member of the team. There is even an interview in which he himself stated that he did not receive a ring that year. Nonetheless, he did get a ring as a player in 1973 and another ten as a coach in the upcoming decades. I'm pretty sure he doesn't cry himself to sleep because he could have 12 (or 14) instead of 11.

  • Then whatever happened to Phil Jackson back in 1970? As far as I know Phil Jackson has only played for the Knicks. Anyway, I know that Phil does not cry over not getting a Ring back in 1970 as well. You don't see Willis Reed or Walt Frazier with 2 Handfuls of Rings, either. So now you can see, that it works both ways.

  • Tell me, did Byung-Hung Kim get a Ring with the Red Sox back in 2004?

Although he was not on the Playoff Roster, still, he was on the 40 Man Roster for the Red Sox back in 2004, and he did relieve for the Red Sox.

  • That I don't know. Nomar Garciaparra got a World Series ring that year, and he was traded halfway through the season. So who knows.

  • Nomar got a Ring, and a Full Share of the World Series Prize Money because the Red Sox(As a whole) voted to give that to Nomar. As for Byung-Hung Kim, he should have gotten something as a Member of the Red Sox that year.

  • 0:01 whoa he has some incredibly broad shoulders!

  • LOL at 00:38 Shaq eating, figures.....

  • he's chewing gum.

  • Phil is the best coach of basketball history. This year he will have a ring in each of his hands fingers.

  • He already does
