  • This was a research light we built several years ago

  • Is that a custom light? I don't see that one on their website. LED or Plasma, not one with both.

  • Yeah... "Plant research".... growin dubage.

  • Looks good. And very interesting!

  • these were built for plant research

  • Are these available retail , and how many do yu have under it

  • We have discovered that the best way to apply plasma technology is on a light mover as the light pattern is tighter than conventional lighting. I have a great picture that I can send you. Please contact me at: Chris.Pieser@ChameleonGrowSystems (you have to add the .com to my email address). We also have four of these units working at our facility in Norther California I can share with you if you wish.

  • @ChameleonGrowSystems I figured that after watching that one guy you let experiment with 6 plasma lights, would have done better with 4 lights on a light mover but a little closer to the plants.

  • Thank you for your appreciation Dr. B, we built this light as an experimental platform and still are using it for plant science but it is way too expensive to produce. The LED panels in this model had three colors of red to augment the plasma. We have redesigned the arrays to have seven different colors of red and will be offering it as a stand alone unit to augment plasma or any other light source,

  • How can 3 people dislike the video? Rock hard buds, plenty of it and lovely and healthy. Nothing to dislike really if you ask me! jelous growers, hope you get spidermite and end up paying 15 euro a gram from 16 year old chav street dealers!

    .......

Anyway @ChameleonGrowSystems my question is as follows ... I use per 1m2 X1 600w hps, X1 400w hps and a 125w CFL envirolite, in that space with a large yielding indica i average around 25oz of dry product, at a guess would 1 of your lights match that?

  • @DrBudman1 Dude, fuck Chameleon. I use HydrogrowLED in exactly a setup like yours and pull 2.5lbs on a bad grow using 720W. Plasma is just a supercharged CFL. They can elaborate on their little engineering differences all they want. Conceptually, I'm right. LED's are the future. You don't need plasma. And no HGLED isn't paying me, they're just the best. Period. Every other light, including those from other LED makers, is inferior. And my dick is bigger than these buds.

  • not just growing MMJ, no longer in production, was using for plant science

  • Ok just my 2 cents...But all this hype over 11% people see that and get all o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o 11% really?...has any one sat down and done the math? lets say the average THC content of my plants is 20% an additional 11% would only make them produce 2.2% more THC so im paying $1,500 for a grow light that augments the potency of my weed from 20% to 22.2%?

Im all for the " future of growing technology" but Hyping Bullshit to somehow make the price we pay seem like a better deal is kinda lame...

  • @kocfkocf that and 11% would be well within the normal statistical variation in an experiment involving plants. 11% difference is meaningless to this small of a sample size. The next round could easily have 11% less THC.

  • Hello and thanks for your comments. These units were actually built for research and are no onger in production. We will be releasing a LED unit that will supplement the red spectrum for plasma and any other grow light. Should be available by the end of the year.

  • ...screw the critics... looks good to me... what does a set-up run as far as cash wise..?

  • They are no longer in Production, we will be releasing our custom Red-LED PAR Bars, three different colors of red specifically tuned to supplement the Plasma spectrum but will work with any grow light as well.

  • Bummer, our Phd's are gonna be pissed they wasted their money on that much education. May I ask what empirical data you have derived your hypothesis.

Please consider that we are not trying to replace any other grow light, they all have their application, we are merely offering an alternative, if you are happy with your current technology we would never try to persuade you otherwise

Respectfully, the Guy who has spent the past five + years working with scientists and engineers to prove viability.

  • there is no doubting that the plants are toppling over with flower.

whats the cost on system likes this?, for one unit?

  • IMO 34,000 lumens will never ever make up for the 145,000 that a 1000w HPS bulb puts out. spectrum will never compensate for intensity, until you can bring them both together.

  • @GrowerMD you don't understand plant science, plants don't care about lumens

  • 7000$ light growing some mursh purple...lol

  • 11% THC increase- compared to what?

  • You will achieve a bigger yield with a white background in your grow room

for a start dude... Everyone is banging on about new tech hydro lighting and

how great it is,...10 per cent more THC, blah blah blah.... I use a 600w hps

in a 1x1x2metre home made cupboard with the interior painted white, and this

produces yields inxs of 1pound or more time after time,... reverse osmosis water

instead of tap water and temperature control are also key factors to produce a weighty yield in my opinion.

  • Actually, we are privately owned and bring it on...

  • @ChameleonGrowSystems was that supposed to be clever? 'Actually, we are privately owned' lmao you know what he meant. Send me a free plasma and I'll test you product against LED & HID.

  • HydroGrow LED owns you. In every way. Look up their products. Go head to head.

  • @mechmusician I'm going to be doing a head-to-head very soon, not sure which plasma yet but it's coming.

  • @JJbones88 Pick any plasma you want. Plasma by it's very nature is nowhere near as efficient as LED.

  • @mechmusician I don't doubt you, just want to run a side-by-side to prove it. HID vs HGL vs Plasma. I have four 126x-prototypes. Just finished a grow with it, and it's amazing, nice dense buds.

  • @JJbones88 You got the new models?!? You sonofabitch!! What weight did you pull? What nutes did you use? Setup configuration? Strain?

  • @mechmusician not the absolute newest, the newest are fucking sick, shiny red, upgradable. I have the prototypes of those models, but they do have the x-lens, so their almost the newest. I got 2lbs from 18 plants, 9 gdp, 9 og kush, soil in smart pots, with full line of AN. 1gpw on first grow. AND I let the plants get closer to the lights then recommended, so guarantee next grow can easily be 2gpw

  • @JJbones88 Wait, close to the plants is bad? Can you explain that one please? Because that's valuable information.

  • @mechmusician Yes, when you step up your game with kickass lights such as HGL you don't want them closer than 12" because of how intense they are. We're not talking some eBay LEDs here. If you get them too close they can burn (not burn like HID, but you'll see negative effects, like brownage of the leaves, sometimes bleachng which means that the chlorophyll turns white.)

  • @JJbones88 Thank you for that info. That is very useful. Btw what is AN nutes? I'm using Canna atm.

  • @mechmusician AN = Advanced Nutrients

  • @JJbones88 Ah. They just have too many frieking additives. Too complicated. Not good for mass production. "Keep It Simple Stupid" rule applies. Though I would be open to House and Garden nutes from Van de Zwann. I've seen some excellent results from those. He's Canna's chief botanical chemist that went rogue, left Canna, and formed his own company specifically for "flowers". H & G is the result.

  • @mechmusician I know what your saying, there are a lot of additives. However you don't need them all in order to still get a great harvest. Plus all of them are the same mixing ratios (aside from base nutes) which keeps it simple. I don't think nutrients are the know-all, end-all anyhow. There's so much more that goes into growing than the brand of nutes.

  • Thank you for your candid observation. If you review this a bit closer you will see that this is a Horticulture Research Instrument (never intended for the residential market). We have doctorate level research on the benefits of this technology and are continuing to research the effects of light therapy in an effort to reduce our planets dependency on chemical Plant Growth Regulators. Additional studies are underway at NDSU to evaluate the nutritional benefits of full-spectrum light-nutrition.

  • what a rip off....$6000????? auhauhhauahuah you guy's will be filing for bankrupcity soon....

  • Proud to be Californian

  • Not certain about the red leaves but have third party validation (Steephill Labs) confirming 11% increase in THC. Working on a red LED lamp bar to augment Plasma, will be much more cost effective. We built this light nearly two years ago, very expensive to produce but well worth the key learning's gained. I will also add that we believe the plasma's (without red LED's) will also increase the THC content. The Kindness Collective in Denver is quantifying this with their third party validation.

  • I was told that if the upper leaves turn dark red that the buds will be very potent, I see some red leaves amongst your crop-is there any truth to this?

  • over $6000.00 dollars, that's a lot of dough. other lights plasma lights are cheaper and you could get two plasma lights plus an led 357 watt led for 1/3 of this unit.

  • idk about average medical being 10-16% thc, since full spectrum lab has been incorporated here, every dispensary has sheets and nobody sells stuff less than 18%, i usually have an eye for the 25.56%.

  • okay so that light covers a room of 4x4. great job! all i know is im going to buy me one as soon as i get money haha..wow im glad that this reduces stem elongation. This will work great for my plants. Now is that a indoor grow tent and where can i purchase one like that?

  • Not sure wher you get the tent, this was submitted to us from a patient in California.

  • @LosFoco ebay

  • 4'x 4', thanks for your enthusiasm, i am stoked with our product as well. It has taken me five years to develop this and a box car full of money. This light was built for horticulture research, it does other tricks as well. The red LED's are on a separate circuit. If you leave them on about an hour after you shut off the Plasma's you will reduce stem elongation. We have the scientific paper to prove it.

  • Woww thats fucking amazing!!!!!!!! excuse my language..

but quick quesion? how many feet does that room cover?

  • We equate it to a 1000w HPS with a better spectrum. Virtually no heat. Draws 1038w.

Please go to PlasmaGrowLighting net, then to Products, then to Solar Genesis VI. Lots of specs but happy to answer question or phone call. br, Chris

  • Cool man!! how do u rate this light?? to what does it comper to a 600w hps or even better??:) and hows the heat?? hope u dont mind all these questions but am really thinking of buying one:)

  • About two week from completion

  • i luv this light, wish i could afford it

  • Thats a sweet light man. How far in the grow is this??

  • Thats a sweet light man. How far in the grow is this??

  • Thanks for the positive feedback!

  • 11% Increase can u say WOW

  • those last forever, + no heat!!

  • wow awsome light thnx 4 sharin!
