I backed Gordon and Paul Thorpe this year at the Hilton Hotel, Birmingham European Elvis from round 1 , he was very good and from the seats near the back did resemble Elvis. I actually think Paul Thorpe sounded more like the King but wasn't suprised that Gordon won. The second and third places were not in the same league as Gordon and Paul, but that's only my opinion.

. To put th record straight . These guys backing are there own act, They rehearsed only once to back Gordon. The playing is quite adequate but to replicat e the original James Burton would take a lot of pracise to get the right tones also the sound engineer would have to mix. . The guitarist is called Steve Breakwell, and an acomplished player ..Gordon has reheasred that song hundreds of times, Steve maybe a a couple. so its not fair to say it was "shit"

Hang on mate this guy was playing in his own band and for this performance was probably asked to back the Elvis dude and the guitar playing is at the very least adequate and certainly not shit!

Gordon has a great voice and has a massive likeness to the Kings without a doubt, however the likes of 'Shawn Klush' and 'Gordon Hendricks' should not be compared together as they pay homage to Elvis in their own different way.

I agree that the $1000's that Shawn has spent on his face has given him the looks, but he can't hold a candle to Gordon's vocals. Not in the same league, friends
