  • @MegaKayle123 why would he recite Live AND Die on this day. You are a redneck and a tard, if I was to judge you in the manner in which you have just replied to me.

  • best movie ever.

  • Saw the movie tonight and I loved it. So fucking intense and scary. But at the same time, very emotional. Definitely a great movie. I'm buying it on DVD when it comes out

  • I think the film was better off without the final ending credits scene. Frankly it was understood he wouldn't live, but he knew that. Live and die on this day. It was his final fight. Even if he did kill the Alpha wolf, he wouldn't have survived the others or the weather much longer. It didn't really matter if the Alpha wolf was killed or not.

  • I didn't get the 'existential' meaning of this film because I was too disgusted by the constant barrage of inaccuracies throughout the film. If the film was meant to be thought provoking, then the producer should have cut out all of the silly distractions. Should have been labeled as Science Fiction.

  • @lo0pybeAr101 that's your problem. One of the best films of all time. Liam neeson is my favorite actor, and this is his best movie

  • @Killmoves37 no Liam dies. He didn't want to live. He accepted death when he took out the wallets and put on the watch, so they would find his body and the wallets of the others who were killed

  • @TTheAvidOrange no u fuckin noob!! the wolf was dead and if u watch closly he begins to lift his head! HES ALIVE SON!

  • I LOVED THIS MOVIE! It's other supporting characters aren't fleshed out too well, but Liam Neeson was amaizng in this. If I was to nominate this film: Best Director, Best Score, Best Actor, Best Cinemotography, Best Picture. That lil' bit at the end credits was nice. This movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Not always a good thing, because while there were scenes of characters, I was too busy waiting for a wolf to jump out. I gotta see it again to admire the tech

  • I saw this movie in a THEATRE not at stupidfakefilm.cc (-- not real) crap ienjoyed it, long predictable at times, very scary points but altogether great

  • I won't ever see this movie. Scmhoes.... eh. It definitly would be a waste of my money and shit.

  • Don't go to this movie with the mind set of it being action packed because of the misleading trailer. It's a survival film. Don't expect Neeson to be kicking ass. It's a story of the reality of life and accepting death. Blahh. Too bad producers seeked an audience through broken mini bottles and a hunting knife facing bad ass wolves in stead of for what it was. It would of get a warmer reception.

  • Wolves aren't aggressive animals. Coyotes, though, will fuck you up.

  • I saw the movie on a whim without knowing anything about it but the fact that Liem Neeson was in it. Was going to see The Woman in Black, but obnoxious middle schoolers spoiled the movie for me. I saw this instead. BEST MOVIE I'VE SEEN SINCE INCEPTION. Dare I say, perhaps even better than Inception.

  • Great freakin' movie

  • Very badass movie. Liam Neeson is even better in it!

  • Does he die a the end

  • @barmax71 They all die. well you don't see him die or the guy die that hurt his leg.

  • @LostLegend22

    SPOILER

Liam Neeson actually lives, you had to stay after the credits but he see a hint at him being alive.

  • @Killmoves37 No he doesn't. The wolf was breathing, he was motionless. If he was alive he wouldn't be laying on the wolf. If the wolf wasn't mortally wounded he wouldn't be laying there either. My take was Liam died and the wolf was mortally wounded, to die soon after. in either case. they were dinner for the other wolves that same night.

  • This film is a great storytelling not playing in to the hands of trigger happy people and people believe the trailer was misleading. Bullshit the trailer showed you footage of the film you just made an assumption that it was going to be a full blown acting movie. I had one issue with the film and that was they were talking about how they didn't know which way the den was but there was bloody wolves tracks leading the direction towards the den. Apart from that nothing

  • I watched it today. The film stays with the characters, you get to know them, to laugh with them ...familiarising basically. All in the greater context of fearing for their survival and if they will make it through.

Diaz says that there are no rules where they are, but the wolves prove them wrong. Even the wolves have a system and they use it against them at full effect.

This is not an action film, this is a character study in the context of a circumstance which we should never belong.

  • it's called "The Grey" because the sky is npothing but grey :p

everyone acts like it makes NO sense, but i think that makes a lil sense so :)

  • @FAJYTAHZ17 actualy a good name, not for the "grey" wolves, but they are walking in the grey, between life and death. The fact that the weather is grey is just part of it.

  • did you see after the credits???? If not when it comes out watch it im serious.

  • The post credits scene was a joke. Shows 5 seconds and it's the black alpha male lying in the snow...but you can only see about half of it...so where the heck did Liam Neeson go? You can't make a movie as good as it was, build to a good freaken climax, and then end it. Sure, we all pretty much know what happen, but none of us went to see what we thought MIGHT happen. Stupid ending. The movie built itself up to a climax. So...to just end it...and then show 5 seconds at the end...VERY STUPID

  • @8westminstergilford you can CLEARLY see liam neeson's head resting on top of the wolf, so you dont know if hes alive or dead

  • @emachineian So if he was alive, he was using a still alive wolf as a pillow? Does that make sense to you? He was dead and the wolf was dying. If the wolf wasn't dying it wouldn't be laying there like a "pillow." get it

  • @MWdream no u fuckin noob!! the wolf was dead and if u watch closly he begins to lift his head! HES ALIVE SON!

  • haha exactly.. it built up at the end of the movie..and then it ended as soon as it built up up lol...dumb...for some reason as soon as they showed his face at the end i knew it was over..COME ON LIAM!!!

  • Saw it. Like it till the end... way to build you up just to leave you hanging...

  • My friend said he'd call it "Liam Neeson Killing Wolves" after we saw it...*Rubs Temples*

  • I'm glad I've read the script read the review, love the movie heart wrenching absolute drama, yet I fucking hated my country censorship who cut about 24 minutes of this movie into an hour plus generic killing spree. Want to seee it again but in the theater but blue ray...

  • I felt let down by this movie. Everything was a build up to the man vs. beast fight and they just drop it. I was pissed.

  • Watched tonight. Awesome movie!

  • I fucking loved this movie

  • The plane crash in this film is terrible compared to when Mega Shark fucking jumped 20000 feet out of the ocean and brought down that plane in Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. Did a shark eat this plane? I don't fucking think so!

  • @ShaneM46 ahahaha, amazing! Did you know there's a sequel? Mega Shark versus Crocosaurus.

  • @DeanSearle holy shit! For real?! I MUST see this movie!

  • Full Price or Awesometacular whichever you pick it's what I give it I loved it.

  • I dont know whats wrong with you people but the ending was a great way to end the movie and the clip at the very end shows what happened. 4.5/5 one of my favorite movies.

  • It would of been better to see him fight the wolf and die n not a cliche ending.. Just hated the fact it plays the poem through out, fight til ur last breath but doesn't show it :/

  • Shittest ending in history. Last 3 deaths are a joke, even if neeson doesn't die ..

  • I may not feel the same about flying again.

  • I hated the ending

  • When you finally learn the secret about his wife! So sad :(

  • SPOILER

The part where Talget fell was the most intense death scene in film history, personally for me.

  • he lived at the end. extra scene after the end credits.

  • Absolutely Intense! Just got back from the Theater & it was the Quietest Movie Audience I;ve seen in a "LONG" time! (LOL) "NOBODY" would wanna' be in these Dude's Predicament!!!

  • 'Fearless' has the best plane crash ever!

  • The plane crash in CASTAWAY can't hold a candle to the one in ALIVE.

  • **so far

  • Amazing movie, great story and filming skills to make me feel that I was actually freezing out there with them. Great character development that lead to me actually caring about the survival of the side characters, and easily the best movie of 2012 by far, and probably one of the best acting and directing skills I've seen in a while. 4.5/5 for me.

  • Filmed in Smithers British Columbia Canada PROPS to that!!!

  • @SNAKEEYESSAM This isn't an action movie duder, nothing like Taken or Unknown. This is a drama and a survival film. It might shock you.

  • @schmoesknow -i might check it out on cable.

i hope they don't eat each other like in alive, that movie was sick.

  • @schmoesknow But... I loved Taken and Unknown. :[

  • @SNAKEEYESSAM He was good in Batman Begins

  • @SNAKEEYESSAM suck a dick

  • @SNAKEEYESSAM

stfu, taken was great, neeson look like hes in his 40s

  • This was an amazing movie. I loved every minute of it. Very intense, well acted, so philosophical at points and overall a great intense trill ride with probably Neeson at his prime. 5/5 for me. People, do yourself the favor and go out and watch it, its just so great! So deep too with Neeson's character and just an overall point on seeing life on the verge of death. Don't miss this out people.

  • Guys. did u see the post credits scene?

  • @azulmendoza32 No we are idiots and ran out too fast

  • @schmoesknow it leaves you with the same feeling like in the end of the movie

  • @schmoesknow,

me too, I left before the credits ended, and people told me I missed it

  • @azulmendoza32 THERE WAS A POST-CREDITS SCENE?!

  • @monkoo20 Yes, you just see a shot of wilderness and you hear Liam's breathing and the Wolfs but one stops....you just dont know which one died, then FADE TO BLACK.

    Me: OMG WUT!!

  • @azulmendoza32 WHAT THERE IS A POST CREDIT SCENE?????????????? WHAT HAPPENS???????? I walked out!!!

  • liam neeson shouldve been in the expendables. hes way more badass than stallone, and he can probably direct a better movie as well

  • @MrEddieSims liam is on a whole new level

  • I so want to see it now!

  • You know what a really good survival-in-the-middle-of-nowhere book is? "The Hunger Games". It's like "1984" mixed with "Lord of the Flies".

  • This movie was so good, it felt like I was watching a good ol 90s movie, if u guys ever watch this movie again n don't know what really happened at the end, stay till the end of the credits

  • Oh I forgot Gunnar Hansen had a hand in this film to.

  • FUCKIN AMAZING MOVIE!!!! I love every bit of it and in case of those that dont know and have never been to alaska the id liam had is what our id cards and drivers licenses look like.

  • he's wearing a journey shirt. greatest video of all time.

  • I walked out of the theater a little confused about my feelings for the movie, then I decided to go back in to stick around for the end credits since I heard that there was an extra scene. And after watching that, I was still kind of conflicted. Then I thought about it realized that I loved this movie. It's so well acted, directed, written, everything about the movie is just perfect. I really loved the movie and the ending. I pretty much agree with everything you guys said.

  • i just saw this movie it so good i love it so much :)

  • movie 4/10!

  • This movie was perfecttt. U literally felt like u were in the movie with them

  • Such a badass movie. Oh dayum.

  • You should call it "Liam Neeson fights wolves like a BOSS!"

  • Well shit now I wish I'd have stayed for the second ending, first one just ruined it for me.

  • great movie, it had everything. action, thriller, drama, and it was even kinda sad

  • Good movie sad ending. But i kind of saw it comming, I knew he was gonna get screwed and somehow end up at their den

  • When have you guys been affiliated with Macinima?

  • SPOILER!!!

I stayed after the credits ands there is literally a 3 second clip... it shows the Alpha laying taking its last breaths (the way the other wolf was that John shot in the beginning), you can see the back of Johns head laying against the wolf, but it is unclear whether he is dead or alive... i think he is because i swear i think i saw his breath vapor coming from his head.. Great movie tho

  • I was crying at the end! By the time he started folding up the wallets and saying tht poem i was in tears!

  • Just came back from seeing it and I loved it(: people complain about the ending but stay, finish the credits and watch the little surprise scene. SAYS A LOT.

  • @BeastenOnYou can u message me what happens don't wanna pay 6.50 to watch another 2 hours of a great movie...still have to see man on a ledge

  • Thought this film was great. Really good acting from everyone involved. One minor complaint i have is that it got a little slow in the last 40mins not enough action but i did still enjoy the slower parts.

  • Just came back from watching the movie. I honestly thought that it was amazing. I actually cried more than five times to just one sitting, it was a really heart-felt and sad movie. The ending, hmm, most people in the theatre were like, "What? Come on" but over all, I loved it. c:

  • @PokemonVampireKisses send me a message how did it end

  • Almost shocked to say this may be on my TOP 10 list at the end of the year. Movie was absolutely heart wrecking and amazing.

  • the ending was weaksauce

  • sounds GREAT ^_^ funny review dudes but what are shmoes?

  • @smilieface25 Just to average joe schmoes talking about movies, regular dopes, ha

  • I vote for naked hugging with Liam!

  • WOLVERINES!

  • loved this movie. great acting, directing, score. entertaining. 4/5

  • he said best final destination movie ever yet LOLOLOL

why R U GUYS NEW SCHOOOOOOL!!!! OMG finish u guys are a discraCE!!!!!! lol

u should say the scens and story is a mixture of Alive + Saving Private Ryan scripts

Alive = Plane crash / plane crash

Saving Private Ryan = Death scene talks of agression between germany + USA / workers , friends use the same sccene in an empathy way

  • Oh and btw... There is a clip after the credits... Guess who won? O.o

  • @Dwickeh yo can you write in elaborate detail of what happened at the end and who won. i missed it :S

  • (SPOILERS) THE ENDING WAS FUCKING AMAZING! Almost made me cry. How did you fags think it was gonna end?! Did you want to see him fight them all and be rescued dramatically?! FUCK THAT! He had nothing to live for and went down in a blaze of glory. Reciting the poem at the end was the way to go and I applaud the makers' choice of ending. Truly awsome movie.

  • @Dwickeh did you watch the clip after the credits? (SPOILER ALERT) The wolf was dying

  • @Dwickeh (SPOILERS) TOTALLY agree. Fucking awesome ending, and I to got hit with like a wave of realization and emotion with the way they revealed his wife had died. And throughout the whole movie I was so afraid that cliche ending was coming, like when he looked to the skies and yelled, if a helicopter flew by there I would've been so pissed. ande the poem, omg I could go all day great movie.

  • Comment removed

  • it was amazing but don't tell me u didn't want to see liam neeson fight that wolf

  • @Dwickeh He doesn't die.

  • This film entertained me but I had to look past the unrealistic hiccups that made this movie ridiculous. In real life the plane would have been IFR and pilots would have been communicating with ATC, ATC would have had radar coverage down to about 1,200 AGL, ELT transmits distress on impact. Immediately launch of search and rescue to narrow search area. The ending was pathetic.

  • The ending of this movie was BA

  • The Super 8 train crash was over the top because J.J. Abrams wanted the train crash to be how the kids remembered it opposed to how it actually went. Just dropping some knowledge.

  • all you hipsters can suck it idc what you say about the ending being "unique" and all that shit. the ending was complete shit.

  • Great review, I thought this film was solid. Nothing great.

  • I don't know what you guys are talking about. This movie SUCKED ass!!!! The action was crappy. There was no fighting at all. Oh he hit the wolf eighths stick once! Save your money. Watch it on Netflix if I makes it!

  • @dizzitoast that's because it wasn't an action film, it was a drama.

  • @MissedOceanic815 Thats a very true point. I guess from the previews I was expecting an action movie, not a drama. That's the main reason for the let down.

  • i loved this movie but the trailer made me think there was going to be a bad ass fight at the end so i was a little disappointed in that but it wasn't a predictable ending so i liked that

  • I wanna see it! I also wanna see Man on a Ledge I dunno which one I would rather go see though.

  • @ZooTycoonZilla The Grey.

  • @MattMontyThom thats actually what I decided on so thats cool :)

  • For you new schmoes people out there, these people have saved me alot of money and also made my money worth spending. Subscribe :D

  • Demonizing sharks, bears, buffalos(!), pigs, pyranhias and now wolves. Someone wants to sell more hunting rifles. You must not be afraid of wolf. There is no reported attack on a human in history except one in the early 1900s when a wolf suffering rabies wanted to bite a railroad employee. Even this guy wasnt getting hurt.

  • Liam Neeson should stick to this barebones style of action cinema. Not the mega budget crap like Battleship. The dude has the presence of a badass, and he belongs in badass films.

  • You Guys Nailed it

  • I just got back from seeing this movie and enjoyed it a lot, but I hated the ending. That just killed it for me.

  • @FilmMaker16 I guess I understand that. I happened to love the ending. It was nice to see a movie that didn't stick to cliche' endings

  • @schmoesknow Yeah, but what I didn't like about it was the closing of the movie. The way it closed made me realize that the ending was, in fact, the ending when it seemed to be the big moment that the entire movie was leading up to.

By the way, thanks for replying! I love watching your movie reviews.

  • @schmoesknow Agreed. I would've never guessed that the director of 'The A-Team' was capable of showing that much restraint.

  • @schmoesknow tell me about it i was hoping for ****SPOILER**** him and the alpha wolf to die but him to face his pic of his wife and have a memory flashback

  • @FilmMaker16 what happens at the end?

  • @FilmMaker16 did you stay after the credits? The ending did kill the movie- if you didnt stay until after the credits

  • @USMC2200 I did not. I figured it was all over. Guess I gotta try and catch it. lol.

  • @FilmMaker16

I thought that they could possibly take the river down to the logging camps, or even form up to defend themelve with spears, or ACTUALLY use their hunting knives. Liam was'nt exactly a bad-ass in ths movie, but he showed true bravery; admitting he was scared, yet still pressing on, "dont be afraid..."

  • @FilmMaker16 me too wtf with the ending?! That was the easy way to end a movie. I seriously felt like I was in some scenes though! Great graphics!

  • @beautynjewels Yeah. The movie itself was fantastic and I enjoyed it a lot, but the ending made me feel cheated. USMC2200 told me that there was something after the end credits that I didn't catch, so I gotta try and see what that is.

  • @FilmMaker16 you missed less than 3 seconds of an ending scene and its pretty awesome

  • @FilmMaker16 did u stay after the credits?

  • @thetransformed666 I didn't. But someone already told me that I should have. lol.

  • @thetransformed666 wat is last 3 sec ending? did he lived or die?!

  • @kiwiterran1 it just shows the alpha male's stomach moving while he's on his side

  • @kiwiterran1 point is he put up a good fight and the wolf was hurt bad...personally I think he died

  • For the record, you guys are awesome. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

  • The ENTIRE movie was absolutely dope. but then came the ending. . . inbox me if u want me to spoil it

  • @ALEXBAB1 Well you are obviously joining us for the first time. We are NOT film critics, never claimed to be. Just people who watch and enjoy movies like everyone else. We state our opinion on the films we see and love hearing different opinions on the matter. Unfortunately, the insults you throw doesn't get the point across if you like this film so it will be deleted. Please come back and let us know in an intelligent way if you liked the movie, thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • @schmoesknow Damn, I was hoping to read his comment and laugh at how unintelligent it was. Ah well... You've every right to delete morons from your video posts. I however I look forward to your reviews before seeing a movie. It confirms my original opinion which helps me save money, or gives me information on something I know little about. I love going to the movies, but the price hike is kinda absurd. So, I go a lot less frequently. I would like to see you guys do some more obscure films.

  • Next... Rise of the Planet of the Wolves!

  • this movie looks pure class ! i cant waitttttt!

  • isnt his wallet showing the same wife liam had in Taken?

  • I'm going to see this on Saturday, it looks like a gooooooood movie

  • wolves stuck in a forest with liam neason

  • how the hell have you guys seen a movie that isnt out yet? :/

  • @cb7pwn Press screenings

  • @schmoesknow Lol I got screening passes

  • @schmoesknow is this a good to take your girlfriend to?

  • @JohnjohnLyricalpoet Hmmm, well honestly it depends on your lady. If she likes these types of movies. It is not a hardcore action film, it is a survival movie with good performances and great directing. If she is more the Rom Com type of lady you might be screwed and have to see the Heigel movie

  • Just FYI, you mentioned how the Super 8 train crash was over the top. JJ Abrams did that on purpose because the film was from the point of view of the kids.

So he used a story telling gimmick of how kids might exaggerate things or remember things more intensley than they happened, as an excuse to do a kick ass action scene.

  • Another great review guys. I'll have 2 watch this movie on Saturday.

    Keep up the good work.

U guys should do an Oscar show.

  • @Perf0Cell We usually do one every year

  • I cannot wait to see this movie. I was hoping it would be good. Awesome review, like always.

  • Avon Barksdale quote at 3:45.
