@thekashif1 it's always a female in her underwear, cause that's the figure that comes with the download, doing tutorials with something else would prevent getting the exact same thing. btw, volleyball shorts is what they are... supposed to be.

The default model Victoria comes with the package free. Rest u can purchase from the site.

So if u want to work with default model just insert the model from Content > Figures > DAZ People >Victoria 4.2

Just double click to insert the model in the scene.

You CAN make your own models with any 3D modeling program. blender for instance, which is free. Or Maya which is FAR from free.

Can anyone confirm that using Animate with Carrara can cause problems with Carrara's ability to open those .daz files? I am using Carrara 6 Pro (latest update), and the latest version of Daz. Sometime in the last days, I did something that made Carrara want to stop loading any .daz files. Through Daz Forums someone meantions I would have to uninstal the animate plugin or disable it...

I have DAZ and I have used AniMate a bit but I have a question. My Daz 3D workspace doesn't look anything like that. I know I downloaded Daz and I also purchased a lot of assets. Did I miss something in DAZ? I sure would like to know how to get that workspace.

Go to VIEW, down to Tabs and click on "Timeline" for the time line, puppeteer for the preset thing, you should be able to drag them into a sub window. I suggest you click on all the tabs, there are a lot of tools that are hidden there. You should get your money back, I don't think the animation package does anything other than give you a few examples, Daz 3d comes with animation tools without that. They thrive off tricking you into buying things you don't need.

It is idiotic and does look like crap... i do know loads about 3d work, Daz needs to put more time into software and UI, all this is just pre-made sequences that are bought online. If you are serious about 3d design and animation do not think daz is professional software. Go with 3ds or Maya, Blender is even better than this and its open source(free).

people, people. daz is supposed to create models, poser animateds, and then your supposed to bring in Carrara's legendary rendering abilities to bring it all together. daz is more of a test render kinda-thing before Cararra

I've been animating with Daz 3D for a while now and it's very easy to use. Anyone (with enough time) can easily create a Toy Story-like animated movie from their bedroom.
