  • AWESOME

  • 2 hot guys

  • I a sign. Ok.. But we live in 2012.. You must add two ladies!

  • Nah, I don't see Clooney and Grant as good replacements for Roger and Tony - they're both too old and have personas that are too well known.

My picks would be Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) as Danny Wild, and Matthew Goode (Leap Year, Brideshead Revisited) as Brett Sinclair.

Michael Caine is a good pick for the Judge, though. Anthony Hopkins would be alright too.

  • George Clooney is 5'11" and Colin Firth is 6'1".....they are compatible in height and their could be good chemistry for these rolls.

Michael Caine could be a great selection as the Judge. He is 6'2", although he just might be in the wheel chair for most of the film. Although, it was shown that he didn't need the wheelchair after all. My thoughts.

  • Wnat about Jamie Foxx as Danny and Daniel Craig as Brett?

  • Tom Cruise and Jude Law are in negotiotions for the movie, or was that supposed to be a secret? Oops!

  • Pana me gusto mucho esta bien hecho este trabajo pero el carro de Brett Sinclair debio haber sido un Aston Martin....

  • Muy bueno!!... Ojalá algún día hagan un remake digno de apreciarse.. Saludos desde Perú..

  • Well done!

  • i think this is a wonderful idea, and hugh grant and george clooney are good choices. the only blot on the horizon,is grants foppishness,he does'nt come over as a hardman, maybe clive owen?

  • exellent little video!...Of course ther's no chance for such a movie...BUT, one would hope for a miniseries from HBO, Showtime or some such cable channel.

  • I could believe George Clooney as Danny Wilde but Hugh Grant??? No chance. What about Richard E. Grant instead...

  • Well, the original only ran one season because it flopped in US. If they should ever try it again, I hope they bring in some new talents to play Brett and Danny but I really doubth that it will get as success full in Europe again. Maybe a film that show them from their childhood and up to where the series start.

  • Hi Missfanari, Mmmm I do like Ralph Fiennes but I still think Daniel could do a good LBS - he can do a good bored posh bloke, and he looks like he always smells nice.

  • All that hard work and you gave the titla name as "The Persuders". One of the many shows that fed my childhood in the 70's. I've gotten old too quickly but thankfully, YouTube threw me a rope and shouted "Hey? You want nostalgia....?".

  • Be careful... Just think what they did to John Steed and Emma Peel when doing a remake. Or to Dave Starsky and Ken Hutchison... When this remake is ever done (this trailer is brillant) it should persuade new generations of what a TV milestone "The Persuaders" really was. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

  • the dogs bollocks tony and roger what apairing ,john barry music fuc me its good.

  • One day if we are lucky - I hope so

  • why did they have to re-make perfection..it's

like a bad copy of the mona lisa...you cannot substitute Moore and Curtis for these 2.

so far, michael cane is the only good thing about this re-make...sad

  • think i would look better in the persuaders... just persuaded someone to buy my vectra.. lets she them to try thay...ha ha

  • I'm not sure who I think would make a good Sinclair, but I think Robert Downey Jr. could be an amazing Wilde. He embodies the character.

  • Ok. George Clooney I could stomach.. but Hugh Plonker? Seriously? Daniel Craig would be a better choice IMO

  • Brilliant vid. I agree - this movie should be made sooooon!

  • Brilliantly made and edited piece of film.

  • UGLY CARS ULGLY NEW VERSION

    STUPIDLY EASY

  • WOW

The effort that went into this trailer is staggering! Nice work :)

  • what a fail casting. hugh grant too boyish, clooney to greyed -hair.

  • I really like this version of the music wish it would be used in a remake of the series into a movie of the Persuaders. Though I do have issues about your choice of actors even though it is just a video idea I am certain their is an excellent choice of mature actors who would fit the roles. I just hope if they ever decide to make a new version they don't turn it into a Disney crap fest that would be an insult!

  • Can't beat Roger Moore and Tony Curtis. No one can come close to their magic. This theme is pretty gangsta!

  • You got to be kidding me! George Clooney and Hugh Grant, I can’t stand Hugh Grant, I mind George Clooney can we have someone else in the British lead role.

  • Michael Caine como el Juez Fulton si..Mis actores serian para Danny Wilde,Robert Downey Jr. y para Brett Sinclair Pierce Brosnan...

  • Roger and Tony forever. They really ARE the Persuaders.

  • para cuando es el estreno en argentina ojala que sea buena como la original

  • can't be done without the quintessential British Aston Martin - come on whoever put this together!! The cars are as big stars as the guys!

  • Sir Micheal Caine as the Judge-Yes.Hugh Grant as Brett-NO! George Clooney as Danny-NO What are they thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the drawing board guys!

  • I tottally agree!!! Hopefully someone will release this movie with the great music from John Barry!

  • What about Ewan McGregor and Charly Sheen? That would be cool!!!

  • What about Ewan McGregor and Charly Sheen? That would be cool!!!

  • There's a REMAKE ???? Can't be done.

  • Robert Downey Jnr and Daniel Craig would make a great 'Persuaders!' team !! Though having said that I do think The Persuaders! as was made in the 70s could not be made now, all the Americans like is testosterone-heavy, explosion-packed, gadget-ridden, technology-full drama - not tongue in cheek, light hearted, suspend your disbelief fun like Roger and Tony offered in abundance :-(

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty u're sooooooooooooooo rite !!!!

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty

Hey buddy, don't forget Inception :/

That did just fine in America. And also you might be interested to know Adam Sandler WAS going to do The Persuaders with Owen Wilson (shudders) but recently there's been a real effort to make it faithful, not just a stupid spoof since movies like Casino Royale sold well and movies like Startsky and Hutch bombed.

    There's hope.

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty Robert Downey Jr is a great choice for Danny Wilde!

But Daniel Craig (good actor and good Bond) has nothing of the style of Roger

Moore! I think Ralph Fiennes would be a nice Brett Sinclair. It sure won't be like

the old series but with a smart director and a fine cast, may be a pretty good moie!

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty i agree with you 50% upto robert downey jr but replace daniel craig with huge jackman. what do you say?

  • @sofamp3 Hi there - I think whoever might play the two parts would need to be very different characters, and I think that Hugh Jackman might be too much of a 'dude', to play LBS, (if you know what I mean?) and would need to be more 'British' - hey I've just had a thought - what about CLIVE OWEN for LBS? he's suave, sexy, and could do the bored British toff with a sense of humour v. well, I think he'd be good against Robert Downey !!!

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty yes but LBs is also too much. he's much more sophittaced than easy going casual americal danny wildie. he's got "dark sence of humor" like jackman could be as we see in most of his movies he smiles less but sasy funny things like LBS. so tha's what i thought. and also hugh jackman looks like an "aristocrat" he's tall dark handsome, while daniel craig looks like "butler" to some aristrocrat. he doesn't have in his personality what it takes to b LBS or even james bond

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty also we could also think about " jude law" what do you say?

  • @sofamp3 - Hmmm ... not sure about Hugh Jackman as LBS, even though he is gorgeous !! Thinking caps back on!! Call me old-fashioned but I think he needs to be a Brit (and I'm not even British!)

  • cool

  • Good work!!!

  • i dont know if it would work Roger and Tony are legends, but if the casting was right maybe it could but the humour would have to be there

  • Clooney could play SINCLAIR better than Grant.

Hugh Grant as brett sinclair... Are you serious !?...

  • ugh... that spoiler on the that orange thing does just that, spoil it. Dreadful.

Grant should be in a dark grey metallic DBS... and that would be more in keeping too.

  • Jeremy Clarkson as LBS, maybe?

  • @mseaborne

Jeremy Clarkson? What are you on !!!!!

  • Brad Pitt as Dany Wilde and Ewan MacGregor as Brett Sinclair would be a better choice. However, since these characters are original to Tony Curtis and Roger Moore, I don't think any replacements would work as good.

  • Hugh Grant as Lord Bret Sinclair it must be a joke, Hugh Grant has absolute no class at all.

I already hate this new version :-(

  • I love it! Bring it on.. That john Barry theme is just brilliant!

  • Comment removed

  • PARA CUANDO?

  • PARA CUANDO ? POR FAVOR

  • clooney to replace curtis?? wut a joke!!! u can't replace a great actor with clooney... that would ruin da movie oh hell!!!

  • I agree, definitely not Hugh Grant - it would have to be DANIEL CRAIG as LBS (plenty of footage of him in an Aston, eh!) and George Clooney as DW (and maybe Michael Gambon as Judge Fulton??). Would love to see a video composite with those actors in it (hint hint ...) Tony Curtis and Roger Moore had fantastic chemistry together, they looked as if they ad libbed and joked their way through every episode and were so natural! They must have liked each other in real life! LOVE THE VIDEO - well done!

  • Great idea. Keep the ball rolling, it would be a great movie/tv series. The idea, the music, powerful stuff.

  • Agree with Caine. But Hugh Grant no way. Add an Aston Martin DB9 and we are talking.

  • quand sort ce film

  • Nice!

Jude Law would do the trick as Sinclair, too.

  • Hmmm, Clooney is well cast but Hugh Grant? Eeeek. What about James McEvoy? He's Scottish and perhaps a bit young but at least he's got balls...and he can act. Then there's Sean Bean, possibly Jude Law, Colin Farrell but he's Irish, Ralph Fiennes would be interesting too. and do something with the theme music. great starting point but bring it up to date. There would be so much about this film that you could contemporize.

  • Clooney and Coogan.

  • That would work for me for sure. CHEERS !!

  • George Clooney?..lol

  • This cannot be... tell me it's a joke... Hugh Grant as Brett Sinclair??? Never! And I agree about the car... it's just wrong.

  • No No No not Hugh Grant ! he's a knob !

  • That's pretty cute; nicely done.

  • And now Tony dies,

    "why Hugh Grant" he cries!

  • I am usually not a fan of tv to film remakes(THE AVENGERS,anybody--anyone?) but this might well be an idea that would work, especially with the casting you suggest.

it would have big screen action, but all three stars can also do the comic patter the original stars did.Bravo. Where did you find this mix of music?

    -Kevin SCARLET THE FILM MAGAZINE

  • hahaha. These are two clowns compared to curtis and moore.

  • No one can take Roger's or Tony's place, they are The Persuaders! So forget this...

  • Yes looks like it could be good but not going to have that touch of class like the old one did roger moore and Tony Curtis i mean that was a cast .

  • Genius piece of compilation and editing. 1st viewing right up to the end I believed it was a new film.

I wish it was, the old series was truly great in 1971 and that cast would work. Love the orange McLaren F1GTR.

  • Well done. I'd love to see that coming.

  • Well done. I'd love to see that coming.

  • The Persuaders 1971 THE BEST!!!!!!!!

  • nice job.....but wasn't Danny Wilde in the Navy ?

  • tell me this not real hugh grant hes a right twat

  • i like.

  • Great idea, tho much as I like Hugh Grant, he's just not the right choice for Moore's role. Tho none of the names that come to my mind among British actors right now quite satisfies. Clooney and Caine are great choices.

  • George Clooney and Michael Caine are perfect. Hugh Grant's a no-no though. How about Toby Stephens or Damian Lewis playing Brett Sinclair...Hard Toffs!

  • what about sean bean as brett sinclair

  • OH MY GOD !!!!!! Do This MOVIE ASAP !!

  • I always wanted The Persuaders made into a movie.

Years ago Brosnan and Clooney would have been right for the part. But now they both are too old. What a missed oppotunity.

BUT PLEASE NO HUGH GRANT!!!! NO NO NO!

  • Basically fucking cool

  • πολυ καλο και διαχρονικο

  • Brilliant! Fantastic... I hope a producer sees this...

  • @bloodySunday77

    Hi...

algunas vece3s los remakes que se hacen de viejas series televisivas en cintas de cine son poco afortunadas...

    como the avengers...

The persuaders fue una de mis series favoritas en los 80's en mi casa en Colombia.,,, tengo grandes recuerdos de esta serie..

  • colin Firth and Hugh Jackman are better choices for Brett Sinclair, Hugh Grant seems to weak for playing action characters.

  • @catinthealley Actually R.D jr was offered the role, but he rejected and was given to Clooney instead

  • dose any one think christian bale would make a good lord brett sinclare

  • The cast would make for at great movie, if the script is good!

  • Great job on the trailer! Let's hope someone with the right connections sees this and greenlights the project. Again, well done!

  • very cool

  • How about pierce brosnan for Brett Sinclair? Clooney would do an incredible Danny Wilde.

  • @michelangelo67 Brosnan is Irish not British

  • @ruantengyi There's no such thing as 'British'. Britain is a "state of nations" - i.e. Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is NOT a "nation state." Hence, one cannot be 'British' - it is not a nationality.

  • @ruantengyi I know .. he was still playing 007 wasn t he?

  • Although I can't stand hugh grant I'd still love to see this version!! Well done king!!

  • super gemacht.einfach klasse.

  • Casting should be Robert Downey Jnr as Danny and Colin Firth as Brett. End of.

  • Excellent mix and very well made fan trailer...but absolutely worst casting..guaranteed to bomb..except in Europe.

  • Great "trailer"...thanks. This is certainly far more a appealing than the other remakes made lately - It's too bad the "I Spy" remake was so 'clownish'....

  • well done, nice redo of the music, but I am having my doubts they would use these two super cars - just not elegant enough ;-)

  • Good effort, a lot of work must've gone into that, and I like the music you've updated. Well done!

  • What about Rupert Penry-Jones as a candidate for Brett, he certainly looks and sounds the part.

After all Brett is a Lord so no point in casting an actor that looks like he is off the mean streets. Agree with asconator re using 70s cars. The 246 gt has to be one of the sexiest cars built.

  • Got to make it "Politically Correct" , so how about Mos Def as Danny Wilde and Keira Knightley as Lady Sinclair? And of course, due to Global Warming, you can't have them driving round in gas-guzzling supercars, so how about.... uhm , a red and a yellow Toyota Prius. I think Hollywood would be able to make that work without detracting from the soul of the original series.

  • Please NOT Hugh Grant.!!!

And Cars from the 70s please.

  • Times are changing. The new persuaders must be four. Two ladies must be added..

  • haha no way 2 men + 4 ladies per episode. the trailer is really good work...looks great

  • No. Hugh Grant? That's wrong. George Clooney as Danny Wilde and PIERCE BROSNAN as Brett Sinclair. PIERCE BROSNAN.

  • Comment removed

  • The theme evokes very powerfully all the glamour of the world of Vegas, beautiful expensive classy women, 60s/early 70's London, playboys, Bond, Southern Europe, warm nights, luxurious cuisine, danger, and 1971 as an 11 year old.

I've just been transported to wonderland!!!

  • FANTASTIC! Could you please tell me the name of the artist who's done this fabulous re-working of the theme?

  • where is roger moore

  • Thanks for posting! What a Fun! Well done! Brilliant work!

  • totally agree hugh is not the man fro the job

  • Excellent! Daniel Craig or Pierce Brosnan for Sinclair though. Poor old Hugh can really only act using his eyebrows...

  • when does this new version come out? anybody know?

  • Brilliantly made! But definitely not Hugh.

  • Very good! Danny should drive a Ford GT40 though! Great job.

  • Great job. Congrats. Ausgezeichnet !

  • I change one, hugh grant for Sir Hugh Laurie, he is so Enghish than Roger Moore, So beauiful!!! well done Kiss carmen

  • fucking good

  • Brilliant.....

  • Daniel Day-Lewis? Rupert Everett? But deffo Keep Clooney and Caine

  • WRONG WRONG WRONG

hugh grant would be fail and Brett Sinclare drives an aston martin not that flashy pice of crap. George Clooney and michael cane are good choices tho

  • @ptfp111 HOW COULD ANY ONE CALL A McLaren F1 A PICE OF CRAP CLEAERLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKIN ABOUT...........HOUGH GRANT YES AND THE NAME IS LORD BRETT SINCLARE........FROM A VERY BIG FAN......

  • @ptfp111 Michael Caine ?! and Why not Jack Nicholson for Danny WIlde... You could change the title from "the persuaders" to "the persu-Older'" then

  • @ptfp111 I couldn't agree more on the choice of car; Sinclair would drive a comfortably-leathery car, not a piece of plastic indeed! Did they watch the original?!

  • I love this theme. It brings up feelings.

  • OMG This was soooooo good!

You Sir, are a visionary... if someone doesn't take this idea up, then the world truly is a lump of cheese run by mice from outer space.

I loved the 70's series of The Persuaders and these guys would be the ideal inheritors of that title....

    FTW!

  • My gosh THIS IS A DREAM: Hugh Grant and George Clooney together!!!!

    Awsomeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty freak'n awesome!!!!! I used to like this old show. You did good.

  • this could be the best thing i've seen in a while - got my heart racing of excitement - well done !

  • GOOD WORK!

  • that would be a really good idea think this would make a great film

  • George cloony as danny and the bad guy from die another day as brett l forget his name its toby some thing any way hes a good actor they were going to do a new persuaders in the 80s it was going to have ian ogilvy as brett and george peppard as danny but peppard went on to do the a_team instead

  • toby stephens? but you think he's big enough for this idea?

but yeah hugh grant is just a little bit too much of a fucking confused weed, always stuttering over some shit. maybe a good match for clooney would be ralph fiennes?

plenty of solid, man's man, actors, but do the brits have an actor in 50 age-range to match clooney right now? :

  • Dave. Ray Winstone!!.

  • LOL, right age - but however I turn it, I just cant buy Ray Winstone as some kind of smooth-talking International playboy.....in that context and age-range, don't think we have anyone no-one that wouldn't look like some kind of a loser compared to Clooney...

  • Dave. Scott Maslan?....

  • yep. maybe, at a push - bit young and, from what I see, he's out of a the same case stamped "Basically: Hard" as Winstone. Could he really turn up the smooth to match clooney without looking like an arsehole?... The more I think about it, matching up to Clooney is a tall order....someone said Daniel Craig. Ideal but we can't ONLY have Craig, can we FFS? I'm gonna put Gerard Butler in the ring.

  • @DaveBTHunt - Clicked your channel- fuck all appeared!. You seem to have a thing about Clooney!. Butler is Scottish ( as is Connery- as you know

), Can`t think of any english actor that can "take the place" of Moore, those "type`s! are no more.........

  • Good. No the I only have a thing about is this academic question of MATCHING him, like for like, with a Brit contemporary for this fantasy movie - because I agree he'd be right for this. What puzzles me is the fact is it looks like we really can't....

But I youre right. Also movies and targets have changed and Cary Grant, David Niven types aren't required for the kinds of movies that get made now....a new Persuaders would likely end up more like Miami Vice, with those types of lead actor....

  • @DaveBTHunt - So, you are a mysterious man like 007!- lol. I totally understand and agree with your opinion. I don`t think the "mood" of classic`s can be recaptured. The bond film`s have lost a lot of "charm" IMO due to political correctness!.

  • George Clooney and Brad Pitt :) sure they would fit the roles.

  • I wish they would remake this into a film or series as it was one of my favorites

  • Hate the casting, but wow that theme song reworking is brilliant.

  • Really serious attempt at a trailer - you get 10 points.

Sound came a bit undone at the end.But good try! really you should get a job in media if you don`t have one already!.

  • actualy, I think that clooney would fit better Sinclair and grant dany wilde

but as everybody says: why try make something that is already excellent and has the taste of a time past
