@soundfactoryweb I recently acquired one of these Strats MN3's. Mine is indentical to yours except I have the original HB and it is white. I have look all over the internet to find out more about this guitar and this is the only one I've found like like it. I think they are just as good as the Us made strats imo but everyone has one. Can you adjust the pole pieces in the bridge HB pickup? also do you know what they were originally? SD's? PG a 3ply? Keep pickin' and thanks for the video !!
hi there! i have the same guitar in black. i was wondering about the"squire series" on the headstock, i read that some people sais its a squire and not a fender. do you know anything about that? thx
wait your floyd rose isnt even floating!! that defeats the purpose of having a floyd rose theres no need to lock your trem and add the extra weight of a floyd if your not bending pitches up
@Trikissss the deal with the Fender with Floyds I think is that the floyd can't go back, only forward, unless you let it loose and it will float but not the same as a Ibanez for example.
@dragonzith : It can go in both directions. Depends how many springs you use. Mine is fully equipped. In this case you can use it of course only in one direction. But it is always in tune that way.
Why not? The fact that it is a HB pickup does not mean it is bad. Basically it is a long winded copper wire and a magnet. If the sound is ok for you brand does not matter
does the guitar stay in tuen all the time, and do you have to moderate the floyd rose so it will not go out of tune before you can dive bombing. or is it done when you get the guitar and will it not get of tune.
@Maxo0295: I use all 5 springs. With this setting you just can bend it downwards, but it stays in tune. As shown in the video I used it very strongly and it stays in tune.
@Maxo0295 Go to Wikipedia and search for Tremolo arm. There is a picture and description. I mean the springs which pull back the whole tremoloblock to keep it in position.
It´s a made in MEXICO strat, it says so in the beginning of the video. God, I want one of these so badly especially because it comes with a non-recessed floyd rose.
Hey i have the same guitar black n white......really good 4 rock n metal 4 those who dont like crunchy blues n stuffs..........but i love blues n all those stuffs so i added a 1 tone knob...........n really sounds kool
I have some mexican strat and sound really good, the only thing i change is the Humbucker for a Dimarzio Super distortion or Seymour Dunacan Distortion, and sound great. By the way I made my own guitars and only use that 2 Humbuckers,
Remember the amp is very important, Good tube amp make any guitar sound like a pro.

this is a very old squire back when fender made them in the same factories so basically its the same as a fender. i personally call them fenders because the squire on the headstock isnt that noticable.
i think you would be better off just getting a new guitar than redoing a squire, step up to a MIM or MIJ fender, unless u got alot of cash go for the american made.
when you see the close up on the headstock on it says Fender, on the right it says something along the lines of Squal series, but this is not a squire, its a fender that by the serial number im guessing was made in mexico

If you are planning on having it installed professionally, adding the cost of the Floyd, the locking nut, and the labor, you would probably find a comparable value in searching for a used Fender of Squire Strat that came from the factory with those upgrades.

oh haha but of course its kinda better if its stable in tuning but ive been thinking about what to get its either floyded strat or american standard hehe
Yeah I know what you mean, but there are tons of ways to sort out tuning!
And to be honest, as the FR strat is made in mexico, I'd get the American standard then later put a floyd in it (all it takes, without the backroute, is drilling the holes for the studs really). But shop around, try out as many as you can and all that.
I can't remember exactly. I think it is very similar to the original one but I'm not sure. If you dont find detail on the web I can remove backplate and do a photo.

Having no-pull up gives you the advantage of much more tuning stability, as well as ease on the strings (the amount that have snapped under the pressure of a crazy whammy attack!) and all this stuff.
It's not stupid, it's just a different preference. As much as both ways is cool, I find having it only set up for pushing down is a lot more convinient.
