I'm afraid it was a 5, Ken. I think we will probably end up having interesting discussions about the answers. Maybe I should make that a separate video instead of adding them in the comments here?
Funny! Prof. H. has made his mark on YouTube! He has a hater. Now he joins the ranks of Brookers, Renneto, LisaNova, Blunty3000 and the whole host of YouTube STARS! See what you've done, thomasbklyn? Your vapid comments have elevated Viktor to stardom. Now, if you would only start using your brain for something other than a door stop...
Oh, no, Mr. thomasbklyn. You are too kind. I do not think that nice comments or even erudite ones like mine are enough to bring fame. On the contrary, it is the insipid blathering of idiots and the voluminous vitriol of ignoramuses such as yourself who are responsible for such wonderful things.
It's still wide open and there's absolutely nothing to stop you researching the answers. I know if I do an on-line quiz people might be able to research them, and that was taken into account when making the questions. That's why, in answer to uptodat's point, it doesn't look too easy. I have to pitch it so that you can't go straight into Wikipedia and get the answers, but at least look around a bit and learn possibly some new stuff along the way.
I didn't say anything about a prize, but if this turns out to be quite hard fought, then I might start offering a prize. There are people on the net in certain discussion groups I know who would walk this, and that's why I don't really want to throw it that wide open. If I do put up a prize, then it would only be awarded to someone who was an existing subscriber or person having left comments prior to today.
I'll give you 6 and a half. I mean in absolute terms, as I don't go a bundle on purchasing power parity calculations as they are a too subjective measure (no-one actually buys the basket, and in fact you cannot make a basket that actually reflects the world's consumption. A basket that contains no cheese would reflect the Chinese reality, as they don't make it, but the French would consider a basket with no cheese in it to be a waste of a good basket!)
PPP calculations have many problems, but one advantage -- they're still closer to reality than exchange rate based calculations. Simply because market exchange rates are manipulated by too many irrelevant factors, e.g. China keeping their currency artificially deflated to the chagrin of the present US administration.
Yes, but what reality? The linguist, when choosing what languages to learn, has the following reality - how much work can I do with this language. Other things being equal, this will depend on the overall GDP and not the purchasing power experienced by a native speaker at home. If a person is considering going to live in a place, then PPP is of greater interest, but that is a different decision to working out which languages are a better investment to learn.
You got 6 this time by the way. You say it's artificially deflated to the chagrin of the US, but whereas before they were pegging RMB to the dollar, they had to stop that as the dollar deflated too much! I'm not sure they're pegged to anything right now, but if it's anything, it's the Euro.
I assure you that you didn't make it too easy. Was I dreaming or did I detect that the esteemed Prof has changed his forename? Or is this an imposter?
I have to have the answers in a, b, c, or d format, Moggy! Eg. 1a, 2b, 3c, 4d, etc. I'm not answering anymore single answer posts because if I do it'll give the game away too quickly!
Sometimes the algorithm in YouTube throws up some real treats and surprises - don't miss the video "A Bit of Fry and Laurie... Tricky Linguistics" which has turned up in the related videos sidebar!

You really need to clarify question 3. The answer depends on whether you use PPP or market exchange rate to convert GDP to the same currency.
