I used to actually leave kirtans in Perth WA and go chant japa because of the overly loud kirtan playing. In the late 80s one Alalanath prabhu trained the devotees at Christchurch NZ to play kirtan sweetly, for the Lord's pleasure and years later I just couldn't handle the klang. Why play so loud in a small room???
