Actually the image that you associate with ometeotl is really Hunab-Ku from the Mayan culture. Ometeotl come from the ancient anahuaca, they have so much similarities and you could say that they're the same. But in the strict way, ometeotl is the amalgam of Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl. If you search for Hunab-Ku, you'll find more information about this god, the mayans have a longer archive of the supreme god. Anyway, this is a great video! Congrats!

The true consciousness that we all experience on a personal level, is from The Creator. It is on another level then the consciousness of other living things. Ometeotl does not require animal or human sacrifice to "clean" our sins There is no Haram when it comes to Ometeotl. Because our energy is absorbed by what we take in, foods/ water. but giving back energy? when we exhale we give out co2 right? the trees absorb and in return they release o2. Secondly, Quetzalcoatl can translate as both Plumed Serpent or Precious Serpent. It's actually a pun, of sorts, hence why Quetzalcoatl is often depicted in the archaeological record as a rattlesnake with feathers. It has to do with the Nahua view of snakes and the Quetzal bird. The quetzal, when it flies, is still equated to a snake in some areas, because it looks like a snake when it flies. They don't think the quetzal is a flying snake, but they saw a similarity in the way the creatures move.

Okay, I like your videos overall, but two things I'd like to critique. First, the translation you give for the name Tlalok is incorrect and outdated by over 50 years. The name is very problematic, and while a beautiful metaphor, it has more to do with something like "He who is made of the Earth" or something more "Earth" connected. This probably ties into His function as Earth Lord, or "Earth Owner" (another of His names) amongst Nahua groups.

Depends how one defines "God". I still use that term but make it clear on how I define it. I believe most of the "we didn't have gods" sentiments signify a psychological need to associate with the colonizers mainstream "monotheistic" beliefs.

The way it was explained to me by Kurly and others is that Teotl loosely translates as "energy."

There is a book that many don't know about, of which I will be promoting it's new edition soon, "Mexikayotl" by Izkalotzin. The original was published in 1969, and it's basically a transcription of her father's knowledge., including what Teotl means. Her father was one of the original founders and spokesperson of the "Movimiento Restaurador de Anauak" that thrived in the 50s and 60s in Mexico City.

The text in this video is verbatim from Kurly Tlapoyawa's "We Will Rise," and so is part one of this series; but he did not make this stuff up. He has more than enough sources to back up what he states. The criticism he's gotten is because he did not cite his sources like you would find in an academic book, rather, he chose to just list his sources at the end of each chapter. But that does not invalidate his work; it's just an excuse from those who disagree with his findings to discredit him.

In fact, Kurly argues that our people were scientists, scholars, and mathematicians and therefore we should be the same way when interpreting the knowledge that has survived. I've read Kurly Tlapoyawa's book, and it is not an authoratitve book on Nahua theology, nor is it a scholarly book. It's a good read, but it's not a scholar's book, I've gotten heat for using him as a source, because his bibliography is not that big.
