I listened to the original, and both the original and your version are great. You always bring such depth to your music, even if you're covering something, and I really like that, so maybe that's what makes your covers so much greater than some of the others that are out there. Great job! Still waiting for more of your originals!

From a fellow musician, any song's an original if you play it your own way. That's how i see it anyways. You've got a unique style you incorporate into your music, and though i can't put my finger on it it's working quite well for you evidently, amazing job.

@TaNgLeD2121 people don't come to youtube looking for me if they don't already know me. they come looking for songs from other artists and might happen to find me through covers. that's how it works and how I gain viewers and more fans. i have new original stuff on my CD that I put out and will do some videos of that in due time.

Avett's are new discovery for me and LOVE this song.. came looking for covers, just found Ryan and have been listening to his originals now... which are great btw!!! @TaNgLeD2121 I initially found Ryan via related videos of Shinedown's "Second Chance." It's not a waste of talent to do covers. As much as his originals express him as a person, his covers express his artistry. Furthermore, unsigned artists NEED covers as a platform.

I'd love to hear his acoustic take on some Hinder or Seether(bands I like). Even moreso, I'd love to see him cover Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, etc. (The mainstream artists people are searching often). Getting noticed is the key.

@TaNgLeD2121 Music is a cut throat business. Covering people helps him get his own fan base(hopefully several thousand/million more like us), who wish to hear "his" music. Case and point...Boyce Avenue. They started doing covers on youtube a few years ago, and now their own incredible music is playing on the radio.

@swanson331 I agree with you Swanson, in that I never would have known about Ryan if he hadn't done some cover songs. I looked up the songs I wanted to hear, and Ryan had done his version of a couple of them. Needless to say, I immediately fell in love with his voice and his musical wizardry and so continued to search for and listen to everything he has done. I also agree with Tangled in that Ryan's originals are truly incredible and are like a gift he gives us, which I treasure.
