  • I did a lot of research (thanks bbqguys for the videos) before buying a Bubba Keg for $299 from HomeDepot. A friend of mine has 2 BGE that I used first. Easier to control the temp I believe on the Keg (see LARGE temp gauge from way off). I like cooking on a heavy quality cast iron grill much better on the Keg vs the thin coated grill on the Egg.The second level grill on the Keg is very handy at times. You worry about cracking ceramic during movement but rust may by a long term issue on the Keg.

  • @SniderMitchell never seen a Bubba Keg that cheap ever. $460 was the cheapest ive seen them and most places closer to $650

  • I would have to agree with @sjb1962 on this one.

    Thanks For Watching!

  • How does this compare to the Big Green Egg? Is the outside stainless and inside cast iron?

  • @sjbl1962

Both the outside and inside walls are steel. The BGE is all ceramic, I believe (don't own one but am pretty certain about this). I own a Bubba Keg, but haven't unboxed and put it together yet. I think they're an even match for high temperature grilling, but the BGE has the edge in easy of operation and temperature consistency for low n slow cooks.
