I think there are Big differences between Iraq Military and Iran military. I think there are Big differences between Iraq Military and Iran military. Iraq had a large old soviet era weapons and doctrination for the combat soldier and the entire Military fighting thinking. in contrast Iran has lots good new weapons Home made and highly motivated soldiers with different doctrine and way of thinking and fighting is Asymmetric warfare land ,air ,and sea. when you supply your own weapons you can prolong a war even when fighting a superior Army.

@Lifeisincredible911 i know this comment is over a year old but i do want to say many things were different about iraq. 2 of them being that iraq had just got out of a major 8 year war with iran and the us gave iraq all their weapons so we knew what they had and didnt have and we knew what it would take to destroy them.
one of the major things that helped us in desert storm was the fact that we didnt give iraq night vision for their tanks.
