I live in the US in San Diego at one point of that intense entertainment triangle of San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas...as a Department Chair at the University of San Diego I endured many "souless" recitals...also have seen Ray Charles, Van Cliburn, Elton John, Allen Toussaint, Ramsey Lewis, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc., etc...this young man is on a par with any of them!

There are many that can play "off the cuff". How many think that the Great Freddie Mercury practiced to infininte detail the 85 concert? I for one have never seen a second performance by Queen that duplicated Radio Ga Ga the same as the 85 concert. What is wrong with instant performance? Each show a unique.

Just had that dance group Instant Bum or whatever they're called on Grand Final and I can't believe that Chooka got shafted for this! Guess there's lessons to be learned by anyone with original talent about steering clear of these crass reality shows. Im a builder developer and I am the kind of person that buys tickets to see proformances like that. Not to see the same repeated songs that every trained musician seems to think make them special.

Face it musicians are nothing more than entertainment.  And 99% of musicians cant even put food on the table. I bet he can and can do it without music.
