The broadcasters were writing the mavs off before it even started. Lebron just comes up short in the Finals. They were huge favorites! Did you watch espn at all around that time? That's all you'd hear was how good Miami was, the big3, it was their dynasty.. so on.. The Mavs were/are considered slow and old, unathletic but they came out and proved otherwise.

So no reason to stick with your team if your not getting any rings. As for the Mavs are old and slow excuse, Heat's excuse will be it's their first year together and it's a test run, just like the Mavs' excuse in the 2011-2012 season when they are losing.
