  • Its a European Starling 100%. They are quite common.

  • This is definitely a common Starling.

  • ........wow

  • i take it STARLINGS are uncommon in canada????

  • Its the last dodo

  • They are very bad for our native birds, and as such are pest. I do shoot them to help out our struglleing purple martins. But, (and this shocks alot of ppl bc i do shoot so many) they d make GREAT PETS! They are very good talkers, are very sweet. Also it is legal to trap or take them from the nest (check local laws to make sure they don't have a problem).

  • its defently the european starling the best known blackbird

  • European starling, we have em in our garden all the time

  • 100% sure that is a starling

  • Tragic really that "Blackbird" is used for a starling.

  • To deter Starlings:They will avoid safflower.A feeder with a 1"x1" cage around it.And the suet cakes should have the clear plastic "critter guard" left on,and suspended upside down.

  • Some cities have released hawks in an attempt to get rid of these Starlings.Though very pretty(in winter).

  • whats amazing is 87 people actually watched this video

  • It's a starling, one of europe's most numerous birds.

  • I mom been feeding them - but stopped once she found out they were considered a "pest" bird. I read that some places even offer a bounty for killing them.

  • It looks like a Starling to me. Search Flickr with the tag "Starling" and you'll see picturees of birds very much like it.

  • I think this may be a European Starling...
