Ah, X. So sublime. I remember absolutely HATING X the first time I heard it. I thought Exene and John harmonized like cats mating on a hot tin roof. But, once I got into the lyrics, and understood how completely appropriate their harmonizing and vocal style is... I was an X fan for life. And Billy Zoom... the guitarist who can make a guitar not scream, like so many others, but rather "complain"... an American original. This is one of my faves from the Wild Gift album.
