I guess you've never seen a band do a video shoot. They play to the studio recording so that there aren't any inconsistencies in timing in the finished product. Because if you took a video of them actually playing the song with no 'guide' and set it up to the studio recording, it wouldn't synch up. So yeah they are lip-synching, but only for the video.
Man I must have read about half of these comments. It's quite entertaining to read I must say. And for those of you who don't like this song, just give it a few more listens. When I first got their album, I thought it was pretty good. I now think this album is amazing after giving each song a few more listens. And by the way, their instrumental (The Crusade) is fucking awesome!

I agree with you jalvarado, Trivium clearly says in Guitar World that yelling is not how they want to sound anymore. They didn't change their style in the new album to sound like Metallica even if they are hardcore fans. I dont think there will ever be another Metallica but Trivium is definitely what metalheads have been waiting for.

Dude, I loved Trivium since ETI all the way to right now. I really respect the fact that they are taking a bold move to change their music style to what they like. I don't care if they sound like Metallica or any other band for that matter. If you knew ANYTHING, and I mean A-N-Y-thing about metal, you'd know, no one ever considered Trvium as a one in a dozen metalcore band. They had a style (with great solo's) no other band even came close too. Hearing them was like hearing something refreshing. And besides, that fact that you should say "one in a dozen" band cracks me up, because that is just what they became with this album..A one in a dozen thrash band.. NOTHING about this album is original..nothing.

They had the world in the palm of their hands, and they blew it. Now that I have seen Gustavo Guerra on here, I realize that Heafy and Beaulieu are just average guitarists. Ember to Inferno was superior to this album in every way...

Its true that Metallica has paved the way for many bands that exist today. My favorite band In Flames did a cover of Eye of the Beholder I just dont like them. Music progresses and continues to surpass the bands that came before them. Metallica made their mark on the metal community and we can all agree that they suck now. Metallica does not appeal to me and neither does Triviums new direction in vocals which to me sounds like Metallicas vocals, Trivium still shreds though.

relatively "old" trivium are WAY better than now.. especially the vocal output and the far too much alike stuff to other bands, ie pantera, metallica, slayer, maiden, etc.. not dat its bad to try do similar stuff, but der's a certain way how to create material, in my opinion anyway

Dude, I loved Trivium since ETI all the way to right now. I really respect the fact that they are taking a bold move to change their music style to what they like. I don't care if they sound like Metallica or any other band for that matter. The truth is that they rock because their up there making the music as opposed to most of us who just criticize and do nothing for ourselves. Call me whatever the fuck you want; I loved Trivium from the start and now I'm going to love them 'till the end.

If you knew ANYTHING, and I mean A-N-Y-thing about metal, you'd know, no one ever considered Trvium as a one in a dozen metalcore band. They had a style (with great solo's) no other band even came close too. Hearing them was like hearing something refreshing. And besides, that fact that you should say "one in a dozen" band cracks me up, because that is just what they became with this album..A one in a dozen thrash band.. NOTHING about this album is original..nothing.

I gotta say, I used to be a diehard Trivium fan. I am not digging this "New" Trivium at ALL. Where are all the sick technical riffs that were supposed to be on it? They had the world in the palm of their hands, and they blew it. Now that I have seen Gustavo Guerra on here, I realize that Heafy and Beaulieu are just average guitarists. Ember to Inferno was superior to this album in every way...

There's just different tastes: I hate NiN, but i know people who love them, and i'm not going through their videos saying "Ahah NiN sucks LOLO" that's just childish, stop! I personaly love Trivium. Even if they sound like metallica, they couldnt have picked a better band to try and sound like. lets just hope they dont come out with a st.anger album. i gotta say the sound quality is ALOT better then i thought it would be for a bootleg im impressed. From what ive heard it sounds like their dropping the screaming portions of their songs a little bit. though alot of people may be disappointed i think thats a good thing. I prefer the harsh melodic vocals theyr going for in this album anyway

i have my opinion and you have yours i think Metallica is a horrid band that is over hyped. Their vocals are lame and there drums are especially lame. Lars blows if you want a real drummer look towards shadows fall drummer jason bittner that mother fucker has won awards and would own lars. If you want real metal branch outside of metallica and listen to shit like Wintersun, Ensiferum, Cellador, Into Eternity, and Necrophagist. Thats where metal is now. They have surpassed what Metallica can do.

Its true that Metallica has paved the way for many bands that exist today. My favorite band In Flames did a cover of Eye of the Beholder I just dont like them. Music progresses and continues to surpass the bands that came before them. Metallica made their mark on the metal community and we can all agree that they suck now. Metallica does not appeal to me and neither does Triviums new direction in vocals which to me sounds like Metallicas vocals, Trivium still shreds though.
