Ok i just installed the egrip, i had trouble the first time. I would cock it but it wouldn't fire with the tank on or off. I took a closer look and found the magnet out of place. Would that solve my problem? It turns on and cycles thru the modes and i can hear the pin going up and down. Is that a good sign?
@sinisterrodents The US Army E-Trigger Kit will work perfectly on your Carver One, and there is NOT a response trigger for the Carver or Alpha Black at this time :( -Ethan
I appreciate the help u guys provide with all of the vids. My issue is that I added the cyclone feed and E-Trigger to my Salvo but when I put it into fully auto mode it will shoot 3-5 balls then it will jam. I'll have to pull the cocking handle back so it will release the ball. Just called Tippmann and they recommended purchasing the A.C.T kit as well. So I just purchased that from your website. Do u have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it. I've never shot a full round on fully auto.
Ok i gota question. after you install it are you going to have stuff sticking out? and a hold in your gun for debree and stuff to get in there or is there a cover
BIG QUESTION... just tried to install my e-grip on my 98 tonight.... i had some problems but fixed them, now i have 1 last problem.... with the new bolt they gave me, the metal rod that connects to the top of the bolt and to the part that hits the ball- is coming loose from the metal bolt, and when i fire, i am chopping paint, because the front part is not hitting the ball, a hard part it.... why wont the rod stay on the new bolt?? i dont have act... plz help... thanks
@dannydude77 It sounds like you may have lost one of the body pins that keeps your linkage arm lined up properly. Give us a call, or call Tippmann tech support at 800-533-4831 for some more help!
after installing my e trigger on my project salvo, it started to have problems when ever i shot a round of semi auto setting it shoots 3 blanks and one paintball ? can anyone help . its the same with all settings it shoots more than onces and there blank
@TheSabianGuy Yeah - the easiest way to explain it is to actually have you look in your user's manual - it'll detail out all the ways to tune your gun. It can be a bit overwhelming, so make sure to take your time and read that section completely, so that you understand it and will remember it on the field :)
Remember that you can also contact us at support@hustlepaintball(.)com with any questions or comments that you may have.
@yordyrmz94 This works with both CO2 and Compressed Air. I would HIGHLY recommend an automatic loader, either an electronic one, or the Tippmann Cyclone Feed System (I prefer the Cyclone Feed System over an electronic loader).
Remember that you can also contact us at support@hustlepaintball(.)com with any questions or comments that you may have.
Hey, this tutorial helped me out SO much. I would of been lost without it. Great job. Your tutorials are the best. I plan on using the Cyclone tutorial next ;)
@CinemaNine360 The internals are nearly identical, In fact it uses the exact same e-grip kit. It is definitely on the list to be done, but it is not very different from the Salvo at all.
@Money10094 Just press the same button you use to turn it on, which each press it will cycle between the different modes. Let me know if you have any other questions!
so i installed then re-installed the e- grip to my project salvo following these directions exactly and the end result leaves me with a inconsistent release of the c02....The trigger and electronic parts move and work fine but it fails to fire any ideas?
@spanktanks88 Just press the same button you use to turn it on, which each press it will cycle between the different modes. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@SUPERbeast71121 The E-Grip is electronic and requires a battery to operate. It has 4 different firing modes on U.S. Army markers. Semi, 12 BPS, 15 BPS, and 3 round burst. The Response Trigger uses air from your tank to push the trigger forward while you squeeze it down causing it to fire automatically for as long as you hold it in the "sweet spot". There are no specific firing modes but you can tailor the BPS to your play style and have a better level of control over how your marker shoots.
@sasuke172533 It really depends on your preference, I prefer the E-grip as it is less finnicky and more efficient. But others prefer the response trigger. They are both equally awesome.
@JeepTJ78822189 If by true full auto you mean one trigger pull gets you 15 bps then the answer is no. The board reads your fire rate and if you trip the E-Grip everything comes to life. Easy to reach this tipping point but it must be reached.
i just got my brand new sierra 1 as my 1st marker and im totaly new in the domain and i was wondering whats the difference betwen a e-grip and a response trigger.
@bebittevelu The difference is that the E-grip uses batteries to achieve faster rates of fire and the response trigger functions off air. With a response trigger it basically utilizes a mechanism behind the trigger that forces it forward each time after you pull it, ultimately helping find the sweet spot a lot quicker.
i have a question i bought the e trigger for the alpha black for my sierra one n it only come with one armature pin. when i installed it the pin was a little loose but not to much should it be a snug fit between the sear and the soleniod or should it be loose ??? plz help
thank you for your time but this did not help 'my gun with a new battery will only shoot one shot and will only reset the solenoid if i hit it or it gets hit on somthing please help i am trying to sell this so i can get a BT delta elite
please help i have this gun and egrip and my egrip shoots for about 20 rounds then the magnet stops pulling back the solenoid and it only shoot about 30 feet
@aust0001 As always with electronic markers and marker parts, try changing the battery and see if that cures the issue. If it doesnt it might be a more serious problem with the solenoid and board.
@HustlePaintball Alright, Thanks, i was gona buy the e-trigger for alpha black as the video sugjested for my Sierra one, but couldn't find it on a norwegian paintball site so.
i know this is a random question but can you do a review on the SAW buttstock for the project salvo. i want to see how it looks and if its really true
i was a lil afraid because i was a lil worried of losing pieces but after watching this video like 100 times it made it eazier for me thanks and one more thing which one is better e grip or response trigger?
@calinikka4life It all depends on preference, I prefer the E-grip because it saves air and is easier to program, with a lighter trigger pull. However, there are many who swear by their response triggers.
@Dax21234 If you want to take the E-grip out of a Project Salvo, there is no way to replace the battery punch out. However, you don't need to replace it; your gun will work fine without it.
@Kaboom257 The electronic grip is a very sensitive trigger, so that you can activate your gun and fire it much more rapidaly. The electronic hopper is an automatic feeding hopper, so that the paintballs are fed into your paintball gun faster.
@Kaboom257 An E-Grip and an E-Trigger are technically the same thing. You can definitely use an E-Grip/E-Trigger and electronic hopper on the Project Salvo at the same time - in fact, that is recommended! @YourFantasyForLife The Cyclone feed is an extremely simple installation, that one would be easiest to install first and make sure it works correctly before you install the e-grip.
@SharpShotSeth The e-grip won't work if it runs out of battery so it's always a good idea to carry an extra battery. As long as you follow directions, I don't think you'd have trouble with the installation but you can see the process above and make judgement for yourself.
@nweid09 The A5 comes standard with a cyclone feed. You do not need to upgrade for it. As for the U.S. Army markers, yes, you can use a regular electronic loader fine, it will just get in the way of most tactical accessories. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@nweid09 I am not sure what you mean by an electronic a-5 loader. The A5 uses the Cyclone feed which is not electronic. The Cyclone feed uses air from the tank to cycle. The E-Grip and the Cyclone work very well in tandem, you would need to buy the cyclone feed upgrade as well though. Let me know if you have any other questions!
how do you put it on 3 burst or fully auto, to do full auto i need to press the trigger 3 times and hold it and then it shoots. then i have to do that agian and agian. how can i get it to do 3 burst first time i pull the trigger
@teeheeman1000 You should be able to install a battery, pull the trigger and it'll dry-fire and uncock for you (as long as there is no air connected to the gun)
@HustlePaintball i turned it on and cocked it then dry fired then cocked it and it wouldnt uncock when i pulled the trigger, we tried this with air aswell? do u know wat to do
hey man i got my project salvo like two weeks ago and my goal was to get the e-grip and the X7 low profile cyclone hopper..i seen the video like 10 times and its been making it easier for me to install the only part that got me the chills was cutting the grip ...how exactly can i cut it perfectly???thanks
@HustlePaintball i seen it its like to little holes that are not completely punch out .......i am going to order it in your guys website....to make sure the cyclone feed hopper comes with the X7 low profile right?
@armmgfj There is currently only one Tippmann marker that works in semi-auto without a battery and that is the X7 Phenom. All others will not fire at all without power.
@mrtibbles96 On the front of your E-grip you will see two different holes. One with an LED the other with a small button to change modes. The easiest way to change it is with an allen wrench.
Hi I needed some basically I brought a used e trigger for my project salvo and was having a problem when I use to put my compressed air tank to my gun I could shoot on semi and 3 round burst a few shots and it would cut of and just hear the e grip and no air supply. Also I don't know if this can be the problem basically I was given a standard sear spring and not the silver spring with the kit. I got a black hard spring and this bethe cause of my issue??? Please can you help
@GarrettGetsHigh420 No,it is different for a lot of different types of markers, you want to do research and find out what you need to do for your specific marker.
Any other egrip kits or boards that have true full auto, 3 shot burst& semi auto? I dont want to shoot 4 times then hold the last shot down for full auto. I have a project salvo.
@HustlePaintball Thanks, so i would just need to buy the basic egrip parts, then the board? By basic parts i mean sear, sear spring, magnet, armature pin, and jewel?. So i would install the APE just like you guys do in this video?
@Jlxrzx Yes, that's the most economical way to do it, so you're not spending money on the stock board, then the APE... We have all of those items on our website, go to Maintenance > Replacement Gun Parts, then use the Tippmann schematics to look up the part numbers and find it all. Let us know if you have any other questions!
@HustlePaintball So the installation is just like it is in this video? Any modifications on the salvo i will have to do? I already have the sides punched out for the battery on the receiver. And does the APE include programming instructions?
@HustlePaintball So just buy it and the egrip parts kit, and drop it in?. And i have one more question, will my cyclone be able to keep up on co2? i plan on shooting about 13 bps. I only have one soft paddle installed on it, i cant get the second one out.
@Jlxrzx It's always a good idea to upgrade to HPA, the CO2 will keep up, but HPA is going to be easier on your marker and give you more consistent shots and accuracy.
Got it going! the trouble was over tightening of the screws on the bottom part of the grip and receiver. The silanoid wasn't able to go up and down and the marker wouldn't recock. Now it shoots in every mode, thanks for vid hustle paintball

I keep hearing that the Sierra One has a max of 8 BPS...Does it still peform well in 12 BPS and 15 BPS full auto modes?
sneakysnake2015 8 months ago
@sneakysnake2015 The Sierra One will shoot up to 15bps just fine.
HustlePaintball 8 months ago
@PostApocalypticGames I would recommend purchasing the ACT upgrade and the Cyclone feed for it!

HustlePaintball 9 months ago
which is better for the project salvo, the response trigger or the e grip?
ShorinRyu74 9 months ago
@ShorinRyu74 The E-Grip is better.
HustlePaintball 9 months ago
my gun wont un cock? plz help
teeheeman1000 9 months ago
@teeheeman1000 You should be able to install a battery, pull the trigger and it'll dry-fire and uncock for you (as long as there is no air connected to the gun)
HustlePaintball 9 months ago
@HustlePaintball i turned it on and cocked it then dry fired then cocked it and it wouldnt uncock when i pulled the trigger, we tried this with air aswell? do u know wat to do
teeheeman1000 9 months ago
@teeheeman1000 I've sent you a PM.
HustlePaintball 9 months ago
Would you recommend buying the gun and then the e-grip and installing manually, or getting a package with the e-grip and selling stuff I don't need?
SoonToBeAwesome 9 months ago
@SoonToBeAwesome It is less expensive to buy the E-Grip factory installed then to buy the basic and upgrade.
HustlePaintball 9 months ago
does this work for the sierra one
ThaBoss440 9 months ago
@ThaBoss440 Yes, it will work for the Sierra One.

hey man i got my project salvo like two weeks ago and my goal was to get the e-grip and the X7 low profile cyclone hopper..i seen the video like 10 times and its been making it easier for me to install the only part that got me the chills was cutting the grip ...how exactly can i cut it perfectly???thanks
calinikka4life 10 months ago
@calinikka4life The holes are pre-scored, so when you punch them out, the holes should be very clean and in the proper area.
HustlePaintball 9 months ago
@HustlePaintball i seen it its like to little holes that are not completely punch out .......i am going to order it in your guys website....to make sure the cyclone feed hopper comes with the X7 low profile right?
calinikka4life 9 months ago
@calinikka4life Yes, the Cyclone Feed Upgrade does come with the X7 Low Profile Hopper.
HustlePaintball 9 months ago

tapoutusa1 11 months ago
to change the firing modes do you just push the on button after the e-grip is turned on?
monkeywhiskers420 11 months ago
@monkeywhiskers420 Yes. You are exactly correct, the modes are chosen by cycling through the modes with that button.
HustlePaintball 11 months ago
I just bought the salvo and waiting next month to get the e grip will ill be able to shoot fast without the e grip.
Ice5049 11 months ago
@Ice5049 As fast as your finger can pull the trigger.
HustlePaintball 11 months ago
it will not turn off after a while of non use will it?
Ghost13Paintball 11 months ago
@Ghost13Paintball The Tippmann E-Grip does have an auto-off feature, yes.
HustlePaintball 11 months ago
@HustlePaintball oh ok thanks
Ghost13Paintball 11 months ago
i have a question can u still fire the gun when the e grip is turned off?
armmgfj 11 months ago
@armmgfj There is currently only one Tippmann marker that works in semi-auto without a battery and that is the X7 Phenom. All others will not fire at all without power.
HustlePaintball 11 months ago
hi how do u change the firing mode'
mrtibbles96 1 year ago
@mrtibbles96 On the front of your E-grip you will see two different holes. One with an LED the other with a small button to change modes. The easiest way to change it is with an allen wrench.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
Is there anyway to make the power button longer so you do not have to use a wrench to turn it on? Please please let me know.
laxpaintballBrad 1 year ago
@laxpaintballBrad Any modification like this would be a do it yourself project. There are no parts available for this specific mod.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
Hi I needed some basically I brought a used e trigger for my project salvo and was having a problem when I use to put my compressed air tank to my gun I could shoot on semi and 3 round burst a few shots and it would cut of and just hear the e grip and no air supply. Also I don't know if this can be the problem basically I was given a standard sear spring and not the silver spring with the kit. I got a black hard spring and this bethe cause of my issue??? Please can you help
KkSuperAdi 1 year ago
@KkSuperAdi Yes - if you don't replace the sear and sear spring when you install the E-Grip kit, you can definitely have issues.
Check out our website (I'll PM you a link) for replacement Tippmann parts.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
But rocker triggers got discontinued for spyder TL-r markers? Would eBay Be a safe bet??? Also there are No tut on how to istall it?? WTF?
GarrettGetsHigh420 1 year ago
So is putting a etrigger basically the same on most guns like the spyder TL-r? (Srry noob to paintballing)
GarrettGetsHigh420 1 year ago
@GarrettGetsHigh420 No,it is different for a lot of different types of markers, you want to do research and find out what you need to do for your specific marker.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
Any other egrip kits or boards that have true full auto, 3 shot burst& semi auto? I dont want to shoot 4 times then hold the last shot down for full auto. I have a project salvo.
Jlxrzx 1 year ago
@Jlxrzx Check out the boards by Advanced Paintball Electronics or APE - thy will have a few more options for you.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball Thanks, so i would just need to buy the basic egrip parts, then the board? By basic parts i mean sear, sear spring, magnet, armature pin, and jewel?. So i would install the APE just like you guys do in this video?
Jlxrzx 1 year ago
@Jlxrzx Yes, that's the most economical way to do it, so you're not spending money on the stock board, then the APE... We have all of those items on our website, go to Maintenance > Replacement Gun Parts, then use the Tippmann schematics to look up the part numbers and find it all. Let us know if you have any other questions!
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball So the installation is just like it is in this video? Any modifications on the salvo i will have to do? I already have the sides punched out for the battery on the receiver. And does the APE include programming instructions?
Jlxrzx 1 year ago
@Jlxrzx Those are all the mods you need to make. The APE board does come with full installation and programming instructions.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball So just buy it and the egrip parts kit, and drop it in?. And i have one more question, will my cyclone be able to keep up on co2? i plan on shooting about 13 bps. I only have one soft paddle installed on it, i cant get the second one out.
Jlxrzx 1 year ago
@Jlxrzx It's always a good idea to upgrade to HPA, the CO2 will keep up, but HPA is going to be easier on your marker and give you more consistent shots and accuracy.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball I just dont like the number of shots you get from HPA. Very low, and with the cyclone..... even less.
