to PGHMEDIA: Basic economics says that prices would go down since the market would be open to much competition on a sort of governement controlled store like we have in canada where producers (companies) can sell their booze.(Liquor control board of ontario - LCBO in ontario) MCBO maybe? :)

im with king cobra on this. even if taxes are high, who says we have to buy them from companies or the us govt. screw them with a lead pipe. we can still grow our own! this is why they dont want to legalize it. the US govt makes more money keeping marijuana illegal. just follow the bribes.

Here in my state in US the police persecute marijuana users worse than they do crack users. Or even DUI offenders. As if they should be persecuting anyone. The world is sick. I think it needs a little medicinal too.

That includes America, Canada and Mexico; if they do this you Canadians are in great harm. Also, check out Directive 51 that Bush posted on May 9, 2007; gives him total power over everything and everyone if another disaster hits. I believe he intends to use it to take power.
