Ryan was a good kid and I mean no disrespect to him. But he had full blown AIDS while they were sending him to school. His parents didn't need to to send him to a public school for goodness sake, and upsetting everybody! He's dead, what good did the schooling do for him?

Are you going to abandon him like, put him aside and say "He's going to die, I can make another one" or are you going to take him into your arms and say "He's going to die, I want him live his life out how the way a normal kid would".

Docter, Docter one night when Matt Fewer at the end spoke about a young friend of his who got AIDS at 13,I called my Mom in to see it & I told her, it made me think of Ryan White.Later I read in his book, it was a surprise for Ryan from Matt Fewer.

The Book that I read over this said that Man in the Mirror was both dedicated to Ryan and played at his funeral. He was a very amazing teenager! He is greatly missed!
@peteyson2012 I just finished reading his book "My Own Story". He was such a sweet young gentleman, an amazing teenager who never want anyone to feel sorry for him, one of the few people who knew his life mission. He was a shy boy, and at the same time a confident and mature speaker who kept adults thinking.
It was very sad watching the photos of Ryan in the casket in the video. I think we all want to remember him with his bright smile.

They didn't discriminate against him. Back then they did not know how AIDS was transferred and they didn't want to risk many children's lives.
