  • nice, finally see a crazy amount of solo x's

  • 33 hertz that is brutal nice job !!!!!!!!!!!

  • all this talk about two 12s and two 15s hitting hi spl is great BUT i betcha they not doing it at 25-33hz. i dont think most of yall know that hi bass frequency is what is usually used to get hi spl numbers. so doing low (25-30sumthng hz) is hella hard study a lil bout the physics of sound, enclosures, power, cone size, acoustic behavior of vehicles (listening environment) . ALL OF THIS COMBINED AND PLANNED CORRECTLY WILL NET GREAT OUTCOME

  • people dont understand that is very loud at 33hz

  • I seen you in Ohio a few years back when you had just finished the van....Pretty impressive.....I really thought you was gonna hit a bit harder....But yeah man it was a nice workout you gave it....But I do have to ask how in the hell do you sit in that damn thing

  • if theres 8 x 18"s in there and only getting mid 150s thats not good ! i had 2 x 15s doing 154.9 ! just goes to show time and time again kicker is way over rated !

  • @TheSplman- then wat kind of speakers do u recomend then genious ?

  • thats awesome.... i love the louds lows, just hard to meter at that low of freq...

  • and it ain't so loud for 8 mamoth size woofers :)) you can do the same SPL with 2 ground zero plutonium 15 inch woofers:)) its just about poushin; the air :)) 18 " better than 12's or 15's ..but that doesn't matter... you need sound pressure..not air pressure:))

  • @20wazka what is sound pressure? AIR PRESSURE after 170db quoted from MAKE IT LOUDER.COM, its measured in PSI rather than DB's for a unit of measure comparable too ohhh say a half stick of Dynamite, look it up, as for GZ good brand but i'd go 18's rather than 15's

  • lol..:)) bigger the coone ..bigger the pressure on doors and windows :)) doooooh! a lot more air to push per kick:))

  • seems like a waste of money

  • some of u have to understand at that low freq its very hard to score high numbers

in a all out spl box & install that score can be done with just 1 or 2 subs

  • Meade's shit plays absolutely clean at 156+ Mick needs to learn how to prevent structural failure. This van might as well be a fixed sound chamber without wheels, cause you aint driving that POS anywhere...doors split, hangin off and all..LOL

  • 8 18's should hit in the 160's thats sad lol. if your gonna go that much do a hz thats gonna hit them high numbers. must of not had enough amps

  • @twista200317 are u a fuckin retard? do u have any idea how low 33 htz is and to hit 156 + thats fuckin dam good, he could hit well over 160 if he wanted to

  • @martymor69 isnt the point of having all that is try and get the highest number db as you can? . pretty bad when someone else with only 4 15's is hitting 158DB, check out steves system. and hes in the low 30hz

  • @martymor69 they got a guy with 6 15's hitting 160DB's. hes got 8 18's dude common now. it doesnt have the power thats why he aint hiting that high of numbers. should be in the 170's

  • @twista200317 I got 1 10 hitting 150 dB

  • @martymor69 thats good. i seen a guy with 2 12's atomic subwoofers with 6000watts only and hit 167DB's in a hatch.

  • @twista200317 haha dude im not suprised, I dont under estamate any subs, the box is the most important thing, and the power of course. in a hatch who wont be loud, my 15s will demolish a hatch back

  • @martymor69 yeah true. it was burping tho. he said he would blow them if it did bass race.

  • only 156 with 8 solox 18"s???

  • @zekenc at 33hz lol. thats pretty damn high for 33 hz

  • @hownychea true....but when you've seen 2 properly insatalled hit 150+...8 should have been atleast! in the low to mid 160's!!....dont get me wrong 156 is still enough to knock you on your ass!! but he should have better numbers then that!!

  • @zekenc HE ONLY HAS 4 AMPS ON

  • @hownychea that could be the issue!!

  • The name is STEVE MICK not steve meade.

  • I hate people who post comments saying that there system is better but they have no videos posted up this is mostly towards BigQueef0001 Post a vid up to compare dude

  • STFD all im 15 doing side jobs and i bet my kicker system will be better than all yallz

  • @BigChief0001 15, and doing side jobs? That's a great start dude. If you really do know what you are doing, keep it up and post some vids of your work so we can see. Word of advice, though, don't get mad when people doubt you, it's called fear. And don't get cocky, either. It doesn't say much about your personality or give anyone a reason to believe you. If you want to argue about your system, show us.

  • @mobileenclosures lol i was talking to the haters theres no way id be able to compete with 8 solo x 15's thats crazy i was just joking around im just gonna get some l5's or l7's. but since you are all so truley intrested in what i have to say please suggest what i should get from kicker for around a thousand bucks (not incl amp or anythin else just subs and box. please resopnd back -bigqueef0001 and i will post a vid when i get it lol

  • @BigChief0001 No problem! I understand :) As for recommendations for an spl set-up, I would have to recommend Soundsplinter or DD Audio. They are a little pricey, but for an spl set-up, you can't go wrong. If you were to stick with kicker, the l7's are great for this application, and for a small fee, I could design an enclosure for you-If your interested.

  • @mobileenclosures thanks for the offer but ill just stay with a standerd vented box from kicker. i was wondering since u have seeen these things hands on. which one will pound my car harder...a 12in l7 or a 15 in l5? i can get eaither or so it dosent matter.

  • @BigChief0001 again, no problem!:) There are a lot of variables involved in that question, but as for specifications, whichever one has the better specs as far as efficiency, power-handling, excursion, and limits within the operating band in the desired enclosure. The best answer I can give you is, if the specs are close, than you wont get many audible diff. in the same box.

  • @BigChief0001 If the question is relative, again, my best opinion would be if the specs are near identical, than the only advantage would be cone area in this case, so the choice would be the 15. But, the twelve(depending on the specs) may have a better response time than the 15. Like I said, it depends on the actual specs of each driver and your desired application.

  • @mobileenclosures ahh true yea i think that the response on the l7 is alot better

  • luxus :D

  • all the power in the world and the best sub ever made sound like shit in free air or a crapy box ...... build a perfect box and you can make wallmart subs hit really really hard

  • both of you are dumbasses and know nothing.

    quit playing this pissing war.

  • thats doin sumthin if he got 156+ at 33hz

  • idk why everyones talkin bout how 18's hit lower than blah blah. you can make just about any sub hit that low in the right environment (enclosure) just depends how you apply the subs to your install.

  • @mm34rider but you cant deny that 18's, in general, have a lower frequency response and that it is alot easier to consistently hit lower notes with a 18 compared to a 12

  • This is generally true. i forgot to include this in my argument. I wasn't denying the fact. just saying that 18's arent the ONLY ones capable of hitting below 30 hz. it just takes the right enclosure design to achieve it in some cases. thanks for replying with a legit response =]. some people get on here and talk out their ass, not in this case thankfully lol.

  • yea, obviously you dont understand what "in general" means

  • 1/2 inch subs? really? you dont understand that in general, 18 inch subs have a lower frequency response than smaller subs? if you dont understand, i dont know how to dumb it down anymore for ya

  • of course it depends on the driver you fucking retard, again, you obviously dont understand "in general" moron

  • sorry buddy, your wrong, all you proved was your ignorance.

  • u going to tell me that conse size doesnt effect frequency response? fucking retard, put the same motor on a 18 inch sub and a 10 inch sub, tell me wich one hits lower.

  • thats fucking retarded, you are wrong, and i think the ratings prove it, all you are doing is making yourself look more ignorant, go ahead and shut up now, you are just digging yourself deeper

  • yea, you are an idiot, thats why you have like 6-8 thumbs down and i have all thumbs up, your wrong genius, admit it.

  • lol, im not wrong. You guys do not understand acoustics. Enjoy being a failure and a fucking troll buddy. Im glad you lost your job a while back too. means you cant fuck up any more stereo equipment.

  • @Jacobbz206 I understand acoustics very well, would you like to test my knowledge? By looking at your responses, it sounds like you need a little help understanding acoustics yourself. Not sure if I want to help you though.

  • Also, im glad you took the time to make multiple acounts to thumbs down me. You really are a fucking troll. get a life and clean your face more often, when your like 40 years old you should not have acne.

  • lmao, im not 40, im 27, and im glad i lost my job too, it gave me the opportunity to start my own business and spend more time with my family, now i make more money in a month than you do in a year, so get off my nuts retard. Keep drinking your hatorade and making yourself look more and more ignorant, its ok, your a little kid, i can let it slide.

  • lol, i seriously doubt that. Keep thinking a cone can affect frequency response. which is does not. it affect noise projection. So a larger cone can make lower tones louder. It in now way affects the frequency. Go back to school....

  • now way? lmao, go back to school!

  • @Jacobbz206 Actually, the cone materials can affect the response, which in turn, if the same material is used on a bigger cone with the exact structure and motor assembly, the mechanical parameters of the driver will be affected and does affect the response. It is not called noise projection, it's called sound propagation. Just to correct the ignorance.

  • @mobileenclosures projection of sound(which sound is a noise) is the same thing..... and the material of the cone only affects the response rate of the sub to go from playing music back to zero. And a 18" sub can move as fast as a 10" sub depending on the design because some subwoofers are designed for almost no excursion...... Response of the driver depends on the whole design of the soft parts and motor, some motors can handle high excursions and some cant handle more than 5mm....

  • @Jacobbz206 Sound/noise can be seperated by definition. Noise is a broadband definition of unwanted sound, not all sound is noise. There are differences. Material affects resp. time(not rate, get your terms straight), but also can affect freq. response. You are right about bigger driver able to play as acuurate, but it's not because of excursion. There is a relation, but not the reason for accuracy. Response time is based off of the mechanical parameters in other areas of a driver.

  • @Jacobbz206 Also, giving an example of how it affects frequency response, there is a relation to response time and cone area. The larger the cone of the same material, the heavier in grams the cone weighs, and can affect the higher frequencies of the driver. If you can't understand anything anybody on here is telling you, take it from someone who was in the military for sound propagation. TRUST ME, I KNOW.

  • @Jacobbz206 You can't argue with me about how sound works, or the engineering of mechanical and thermal limitations and parameters of a driver, but if you want, let's go. I am willing to help.

  • @Jacobbz206 On a larger cone, it will slow down the response of the driver, but if you are speaking in terms of frequency response and not response time(ms), the freq. response is not a big factor in designing an enclosure for it anyway, so that is relative.

  • @mobileenclosures EDIT: The frequency response is important when designing the enclosure, but not as important as keeing the driver controlled within that response. Every little detail needs to be considered in the optimal operation of a driver in it's own way.

  • @Jacobbz206

Costs 400 dollars for your system to hit 139.9? Shit, even 6 sony xplods can get that high ya retard.

  • 6 sony explod 12's= $300+ w/o including an amp. did you think before commenting? what did you plan to run the explod on hopes and dreams? LOL. it takes 2 10" subs to hit 139's on 800watts rms. my system once i do a new recone to run it at .5 daily will be doing 149s, currently 147's on 3k rms single 18".

  • @Jacobbz206

ha, retard, an 8 inch subwoofer can hit 155 db. Go look at Dc sound labs. Shit i have one 12 inch hitting 145 on 1500 rms, u asshole. Go back to audio 101 and learn ur shit.

  • wow..... you just totally did not even think about the price of the equipment am i right? That 8 inch woofer is easily taking 4-5000 watts...... a amp to do that is well over $7-800 used..... you have no concept of reality in this argument since you cannot stay on topic.... the topic was how loud can you get for $400........

So shut the fuck up and go back to knowing nothing at all.....

  • oh well, i have an open cabin, no trunk, as i drive a scion xb. I have a custom ported box in the back, and im pumping 1000 watts only into a 1500 watt sub. And i hit 145.3 on the sound lab at 36 hz

  • lol yeah right..... you twelve would not do shit for numbers at 36hz..... and 1,000rms would never and i quote never do about a 141 even on a burp in that car. try making up a believable number....

  • funny that you went to my page and rated all my videos poorly..... too bad my shit is bigger, better, and more bad ass than your system! LOL keep hatting troll

  • @Jacobbz206

i never even looked at your videos. Im not hating, now piss off.

  • And secondly..... your 1500rms would never do a 145 unless its a single cab truck with no passenger seat and a massive box ported at the mic.....

Try making a video using the TL and see your real numbers..... bet you wont break 141....

  • @dustinallen1982 Depends on the box tbh, put a 10 in great box tuned correctly and put a 18 in a shitty box and the 10 will get lower and louder.

  • @Rune101rune obviously you didnt read the whole argument.

  • @dustinallen1982 Obviously I didn't care do, doesn't detract from my statement either way.

  • @Rune101rune but it does mean that you are a retard, and stating something that has already been covered MONTHS ago, nice try at jumping into a convo you know nothing about though, keep up the good work.

  • @dustinallen1982 Thanks for making an inference when you know nothing about me. Shows your maturity, hope your kids learn more than you did about respect. Peace.

  • @dustinallen1982 A 10 in a good box can hit better lows than an 18 in the wrong box....it rly doesnt matter on cone size AS MUCH as it does the box

  • @dustinallen1982 the 10 because i made it with a lead cone.

  • @danielhattie2000 your joking right? a lead cone? lmfao

  • @dustinallen1982 thats how the 10 hits lower with the same motor on a 10 and 18

  • @dustinallen1982 i now this was a year ago, but size of cone doesnt change how "low" it can get. a 10 can hit lows just like an 18, but the 18 moves more air generally which make you think it hits lower. The 18 is louder at lower freq generally but the 10 can play down as low as an 18.

  • @HitemWithTheFlex you just agreed with me, "The 18 is louder at lower freq generally", thats all my argument was the whole time, that in general, a bigger cone can and will play lower frequencies louder and better than a smaller cone, there is no doubt in my mind that a 10 can play the same lows as a 18, but will it do it as efficiently and as loud? prolly not....

  • @dustinallen1982 ok, my bad, misinterpreted it.

  • See, like I said. It takes more then 4 kickers subs regarless of size to do something like that. 2 subs or less is an eye opener

  • LMAO.

    Its not a ford..

    Def a Chevy Astro.....

    nice try tho!

  • put some rims on it!! lol

  • Is that a chevy astroflex?

  • if that door wasnt flopping like that, I bet they could hit higher.

    vibration = loss

get rid of the door waves and it might boost it some >.>

    either way, sick numbers

  • sorry but it is going to be close to impossible to stop 8 18's at over 150db around 30 hz from flexing a door.

and I'm sure he knows what he is doing he bass races 159.9

  • Bolts and iron rods, thats what stops em from moving :3

  • Comment removed

  • y only 156? My friend has 4 18 inch X's and he does 163.5 i think he clocked it at on the termlab.

  • Did you not notice this is @ 33hz? Do you know how low that is?

  • Lol not at all. Im talkin out of my ass. I know nothing about this shit. lolololol

  • not that low for an 18 my man, my 15 inch Fi hits 33 hz all day

  • Are you stupid or something?

  • hell yea my fi q 12 hits that shit like its nun

  • ya at 156 db?? i think not pal

  • i didnt say it hit 156 db i said it hit 33 hz so fuck off bitch

  • i know but who gives a shit i dont know a sub that wont hit 33 hz you pussy so nobody gives a damn if it can

  • yeah i can get a ten to hit 33 hz... just how hard can it bang that 33 hz? 18's QUAKE on the low notes due to the bigger cone

  • GOD DAYMN lol i thikn no ones in that car LOL

  • Loosen the screws and the door will open by itself.

  • More amps :D

  • waaaaaaah :D

  • norcrawler got raped by his dad

  • that system is no joke. fucking bad ass system

  • Holy mother fucking lowz!

  • damn...that is some serious killer low bass!!!

  • I thought he did a 60 at 30 something hz?

  • pretty sure it was a 159. sumthin at 25hertz theres a vid somewhere

  • all these newbs need to go jack off.

  • rofl @ :27

    dayyyuuuum

  • myth busters hit 160 at 16 hz with a 51'' sub running off the drivshaft

  • Suck my dick rockfordfan927!

    oIo oIo

  • that is amazing at 33hz

  • FUCKIN SICK

  • damn how does he only hit 156 with 8 fuckin solo x ide be pissed off. that i agree is a fucking ground pounder window shakin asphault crushin beast.

  • this shows that youre a noob, its 33hz buddy.

  • Are you a fucking retard?

"damn how does he only hit 156 with 8 fuckin solo x ide be pissed off"

Its 33hz, thats something to be proud of, not pissed off at. noob

  • Do you even know what 33 hertz is? 156dB+ is amazing with that frequency.

  • No, I have Logitech Z-5500, best computer subwoofer. LOL and it's Sony Xplod. YOu know how low 33hz is right?

  • its low for such a high SPL as 156dB!

  • fuck out here, that shit is real low. Great job

  • is 156 the highest hes ever hit

  • this current setup is 8 18s but its blowing over a 155 down to 25hz.

his old setup damn near touched a 160 or close and it was with half the woofers (4 18s)

  • So he was louder with the 4 18"s, or he is able to play lower just as loud now with the more cone area?

  • much lower

hes done 159's with the old mmats amps in on all four woofers

  • @singaboy311 wats all the gear he has in this

  • hahahhahaha

  • do u think ur louder than meade in both trucks, he has like 30000 watts in his escalade with 2 25000 watt rockford amps and 8 18 btl's

  • Meade hit 30,000watt in the new Caddy but this guy can hit more with a better enclsure & over powering the subs

  • one more thing Meade hit 160 with the new caddy and its not even finished

  • Its chickens escalade not meades.

  • tk15 Rockford are not 25000watts its 15000 watts each dont make things up

  • need pix! o and what's it tuned to and what's it's peak?

  • i am off to see some pics!!

    damn thats nice

    oh, btw GROUNDPOWNDER

  • Groundpounder.

  • you are the loudest of them all

  • i think(in regards to my previous comment)

  • yea it is

  • steve mick ftw

  • Any wet spots after that test? :oP

  • lol damn

  • loud!

  • thats awsome bro!

  • Awsome steve

  • i was there.

  • holy hell on a cold day!

  • can u say lose your door?

  • That door is got raped real bad

  • your typing got raped real bad lol

  • It's called a typo. I acidently added the "is". I guess it's my mistake.

  • sorry for being picky dude!

  • Is that Steve Micks van?

  • holly fuck dat shit slap so hard
