I saw this solo in 2000 when he was on tour with Alice Cooper. It looked so cool, because it was completly dark and you just saw the burning sticks :-) it looked 100 times better than in this video. I can´t understand why Kiss didn´t let Eric play this solo on their tours

'UMPH" if you will. I don't like the real clicky sound either but for arena's and huge venue's you have a more controlled sound and better so the whole band can sound as a unit. The heads get changed out every day prior to soundchecks. A head takes at least three to four days to get it's true sound. So thats were triggers come in.

eric carr replaced peter first then eric singer replaced carr who passed away then after the reunion tour peter quit during the farewell tour and singer was asked to return. later peter came back for a short stint but when his contract expired it was not renewed so singer returned. if peter and ace would get there acts together they would still be in kiss gene and paul are doing playing games with those 2
