  • GREEN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL IS PLAYING THIS :D

  • Wonderful Piece!

  • I'm an alumni of this program and I was in Symphonic Band 1. Wow, this blows away anything we did back in the day. Congrats WTHS!!!!

  • I played this piece in 1971 as when I was at Syracuse University. Karel Husa conducted the piece. At the time, he was a professor at Cornell. It is a truly vivid piece, and very contemporary in his vision of bringing the invasion to life.

  • Impressive! Where did this fine conductor learn his craft?

  • I first heard this piece in May 1969 with the University of Michigan Symphony Band under the direction Dr. William D. Revelli. That performance was the greatest I have ever heard!

  • @sgsmozart I played in that concert under Revelli and we were completely enthralled with this piece. I also saw Revelli conduct this at his last performance in Carnegie hall. My classmates at Juilliard were stunned and didn't realize that a band could sound like that. To hear Mich Band vids I've posted type in maestrojimbo and scroll down to hear Hindemith, Gianinni, Schuman, etc.

  • Very impressive. Each ensemble that I listen to perform this song have their own signature. This signature was very impressive also as with the Eastman Wind Ensemble. Great conducting and great intonation.

  • This was awesome. I'm so glad they finally won Super State.

  • I saw this! They were incredible.
