what kind of trouble is he running from? he might want to set up something a little more permanent before winter....winters here in vt are pretty tough....this setup will be fine as long as he is there all the time to keep a fire going
Very well organised. Nice fire set up with the big boulder to reflect heat back. I'm sure that was snug on a cold night. How did you tackle the rats though?
thats exactly how i want to live how is he doing out there would he recommend it? if i ever get cancer or a terminal illness this is what im going to do
build a wooden floor then start building the sides of the wooden house before adding the roof and vegetation ontop for insulation build a fireplace with cement and stone fill it with wood in the winter to warm yourself plant vegetables build bear traps fish build spoons and knives out of wood
Did you buy the tipi already made or make it yourself? I plan to buy one next spring from Don Strinz tipi maker and set it up in the backyard and get use to living in it. Will have to put mosquito netting around the top and doorway because of the West Nile virus problem here in Mississippi. A lady I knew a long time ago died last week from WNV. Her son thought she was having a mild stroke.
I lived on a generous fellows land, I was going to college, or working mucking stalls, and because I did not pay rent, the cost to live was slim. To note, I still live like this now, only in CT, there will be a new video soon, stay tuned.
Very nice, I love it!!! My family lived in a similar way last summer. We only had a few months and it wasn't out land, so not as elaborate as this setup, but we loved it and want to do it again on our own land someday. Thanks for sharing!
I've lived in VT my whole life, probably the only ECO - minded state that allows for the people to tread on its great land without over regulation.

Please understand, I'm not a hater, but...
Did you clean up all that crap when you moved? Would your 'landlord' in VT allow someone to do this on his land again? Just curious, like the cat...
