What is so wonderful about this is that it was their own interpretation. The same goes about everything children say, that is why we perceive them as innocent, untainted.
They were already nudged too far into this of course, but no, you'd want them to become little word-for-word bible reciting robots. Disgusting. Let children be children. World is already wonderful in their eyes.
boards of canada arent satanists, not religious either, their music is about simplicity of existence,a thing as humans we are constantly tainting.besides that its applicable to whatever you wanna use it for.
I believe that this song represents the innocence before the obligatory indoctrination we were exposed to. This song reveals the innocence of childhood purity, pure questioning, which I hope never dies.
I've never understood how someone can dislike religion as a whole due to one religion they don't agree with. It's like saying music sucks as a whole because you don't like death metal. Not all religions are Christian or even theistic in nature.
I had always thought this song had to do with the indoctrination of defenseless kids into intellectual decay, as portrayed through the many recited verses and meaningless droning...The song makes it pretty clear that it's trying to reflect on kids brainwashed into religion, and the fact that you used the song for bible school promotion, just embarrassing...yet hilarious at the same time.
If you'd listen to the whole Geogaddi album you would know that it doesn't shed a good light on religion.
Your projecting. This is just a collection of children's innocent reflections on the devine. How you can see negativity in that is beyond me. As for the rest of the album, yes there are references to religion, but as for some sort of commentary on it, there is none. I think you are looking for things that arn't there.

It's what their innocence and trust will be turned into that atheists find disturbing.
The problem with organized religion is that it removes critical thought about morality and before you know it, you are supporting bombing a nation because the people that live there talk funny and have a different religion.
NEED to know?

This brainwashed indoctrination is child abuse, plain and simple.

I think it is ironic that music from an album full of satanic reverences is used to promote a Bible School.

Yeah isn't it cool how Beauty and Truth can be found even in things that don't have "Christian" attached to them.
The word Christian is a great noun and a horrible adjective.

Im surprised something this psychedelic is being used for such a simple message. It's befuddling.
