Scotland is truly a beautiful country that has contributed so much to the world. Many of us in Canada and the US trace our ancestry back to Scotland, and the world would be a far worse place without Scotland and the Scots.

Thank you for sharing this truly truly magical breath taking video of Bonnie Scotland :) I really enjoyed sitting here on my saturday morning remembering being in so many of the places you have captured in your magical video:)..My heart has always belonged to the Highlands and when I was there 2 years ago for home coming wow I could not have picked a better time to visit my magical bit of heaven on earth :) My dad is from Ireland and its beautiful there too but nothing compares to ALBA xooxx

2. In my opinion the most important thing for Scotland is it's independence! Scotland deserves it! And so the Scottish!

I hope that there truly will be an opportunity for this generation to vote for their own independence! I think that the occupation by the UK for Scotland has had it's time for now and for the coming future.

1. As a Dutchmen I never visit Scotland. But I will truly visit it once in my life, maybe I could even life there! Of course Scotland has it's problems, like all other countries have their own. Netherlands (my own country) is a very well-living country, but it has so it's problems too! Paradise doesn't exist, otherwise people wants to live there all!

I lived all over Scotland for the first 41 years of my life from Creetown to Bayble, and the biggest problem Scotland has is the next generation. It is so dumbed-down and Ned-like, the country is finished. Even the garden of Scotland Dumfries & Galloway is now a dump. All the thinking ones 'white-fled' abroad (they saw Glasgow going like England). I loved my country, but Scotland deserves everything it gets. Keep voting Labour or SNP and dumb yourselves to Hell. 25,000 of us left in 2010 alone.

@MINGCHINGBOY Well i am 21 years old and i am pro independence. I work hard and try to contribute to making Scotland a good peaceful place to live. I think you are correct in saying some of the younger generation are dumbed down and ned-like, yes thats true, but there are also many young Scots like myself in jobs and studying who are pro independence and want the best for our country. It will be my generation that will vote for independence !

In 20 or 30 years the muslim population will be similar to that of Birmingham, if not worse, and they won't be interested in independence. 3. I refer back to my Ned point, there are too many of them to make the country run well. My advice - get out.

@glasgow1234 You get independance and the EU will have achieved it's stated aims for the UK, and you will be living in an ever harsher marxist state than you currently live in. 25,000 Scots never fled in 2010 because they wanted a wee change of scene - they fled due to the opressive regeme, particularly business-men like myself. I have met more real Scots (not the neds and reds that are left in Scotland) in NZ (where I fled to) than I did in Scotland, all of them thinking people and productive.

@MINGCHINGBOY Everything that's negative about Scotland right now is apparently near seven to ten times worse in England I hear often. Scotland has been run as a region with no voice for a few centuries rather than a full proper nation, with independence things would be much better, I've noticed under SNP administration that it's improved a bit better already, what you're talking about is mainly a Glasgow specific problem, not the whole of Scotland.

@segano1 I watched the Outer Hebrides culture smashed as hoards of 'Mancunians with something to hide' bought up cheap property - neighbours don't trust anyone anymore. And I've watched tweeded country folk in Dumfries & Galloway being replaced by chavs, that attack & rob regularly. Believe it or not, it's the cities where you see LESS of the problems. Also It's no secret that the Labour party are Marxist, but SNP are even worse. They are definately NOT a nationalist party. Scotland is finished.

These Mancunians wouldn't have got in Scotland just like that in the first place to cause chaos had Scotland been independent because they would be recorded as 'immigrants' not natives of the nation, it's because of the union, they share British citizenship, so it's easier for other nations within the British isles to get to another nation of the UK than it is for European or non-European immigrants.

@BewareTheBeast You do know that figures released on the 6th Sept show crime figures in Scotland are at there lowest level since 1976, this was published on the same day that separate figures confirm that police officers numbers remain well above the government's targets to maintain the 1,000 additional officers in Scotland's communities.

That makes it a 4% reduction overall since the previous year and the lowest level in 35 years.

I've lived in virtually every area of Scotland and I was around in 1976. Compared to 1976 crime is through the roof. A murder in Scotland then made all the headlines.
