  • I ordered this book on amazon and of course it is taking FOREVER to ship!! Hopefully I get it within the next few days because I want to be able to actually read it before Liam comes!!

  • @rachg09890 The pics are totally hippy and you can skip the first chapters but there are some great chapters on labor, etc,

  • Thanks so much for your review. It reminds me to get back into reading it. I started it and it was FANTASTIC for me to alleviate my anxieties and fears. I really, really appreciated this practical book. God bless you and your family

  • @Ishtabest Thanks hun... it is a good one!

  • Thanks for sharing.I will be looking into this book:]

  • @Mrsbbb21 Let me know I would love to know your feedback on it!

  • When you were pregnant? Husband? You don't look old enough to be married and pregnant! LOL.

  • @fifimsp Why thank you... I am 32 and I have a 3 year old!!

  • @alandamandamama Yeah, when I first turned on the video I was wondering why a 15 year old was reviewing a Childbirth book. LOL. I'm 32 as well. When I get pregnant I want a good method and this review helped me because I think this is the one I'm going to go with.

  • @fifimsp Wow, I will take that as a compliment that I look like I am 15... I would read several books. But, this is a good one. Certain chapters are REALLY good!! Keep me updated :)

  • Love this book! I actually still use a lot of the methods that I learned in the book for relaxing...and sleeping! :)

  • @TheAppieShow Thanks for sharing that because you are the first to comment that you read this!! And, it was SO good!!

  • I wish i had read this before Jailynn was born! I was able to go 12 out of 15 hrs of labor without meds but wanted to go all the way without meds. Although I don't regret my decision to get meds I wish i was more educated to help me make it all the way through.

  • @jenniferstewart100 Thanks hun, This is just the book that was great for us but obviously not for everyone. I just like reading alternative ways to go through labor BUT understand that it can't be that way for everyone.

  • Thanks for doing this! It sounds like there is a lot of good information in there on how to prepare for labor, even if you aren't choosing natural childbirth. I love the idea of using you natural breath to help you get through labor. Lamaze has always freaked me out a little bit, it seems like it would only exacerbate a raised heart rate!

  • @LaureninPortland It did really emphasize natural breath during labor and how to focus on that so that you could "relax" through a contraction... I know a lot of people will not think it is possible but for me it vibed with my experience :) And, I felt the same way about Lamaze too.

  • Ohhh man I really need to do my pregnancy video eeekkk

  • @imissjerry87 Get on it girl!!

  • @alandamandamama I hope I get the chance to do it today!

  • I've heard about that book. And I forget to mention in like every video that I like the Beatles poster! I have to say I'm getting bad baby fever!

  • @imissjerry87 Ah... my hubby's Beatles picture... it is actually not a poster... Hard to explain :)

  • @alandamandamama Oh I know it's not a poster actually. Isn't it a collage of all the album covers?

  • This is just my thought/opinion..I don't want to be getting thumbs down here b/c I think that is a great method and it's amazing how well it can work for some women. However..I think that some women's bodies just birth babies better than others if that makes sense.. regardless of what method they may use.

  • @dreamflight6000 I totally agree with you!! I think there is never a way that works for all women and most definitely every woman births differently!! Thank God for C-sections!! I do think that this book has a lot of info that other books did not nonetheless, and for that I think it was good for what we wanted :) It does have great exercises for early labor if you are one of those women that your body was not necessarily "built" for birthing :)

  • I have heard women talk about that book. That's nice J read pregnancy/birthing books too! I couldn't even get Andy to read the Dad section of any of my books.

  • @dreamflight6000 That is a really nice thing about J... he reads everything and all I have to do is ask him... Good thing he is such a fast reader. And, he made notes on the book and typed out an outline of all the important info from it that we could take to the hospital... He is SO funny!! I do not know any other guys that reads like him (my sweet nerd hubby... jk)

  • I've read a little bit on the Bradley Method. Might have to check out this book for some info. Thanks for the review:)

  • @Shannindhall Maybe you can get it from the library and read some of the relaxation methods and laugh a little at the hippy pictures :) Let me know if you do and what you end up thinking!!

  • @alandamandamama Yes, ma'am. I love the illustrations in some books that pertain to birthing and "mothering". I find myself blushing at them at times too..lol. Although you know its completely natural and okay, just makes me a giggle a bit..lol

  • awesome book! thanx :) ill have to check it out

  • @AlaskanMommy907 Thanks... I thought it was awesome and I started on Chapter 8 where the real labor stuff begins!! :)
