First, it's not flailing. It's raving. Flailing implies there's no pattern and the person doesn't know what they're doing. Second, the room isn't pitch black. I lowered the brightness and upped the contrast. Third, there's no strobe. If there was a strobe, there would be a pattern. That effect just sort of happened when I upped the contrast.
