Nick had the stronger argument. Portal tells an amazing story in novel interesting ways.

In The Sims the storytelling is incumbent upon the player. Not everyone tells a good story. Furthermore not everyone's life is the basis for a good story. Finally I'm sick of all of those "I starved someone to death" stories from The Sims.

Patrick almost came off as a dick in this but ultimately, Patrick is THE SHIT! and as for who won, nobody. I don't think you can really compare a story that is crafted by the player to a story that is crafted by expert writers. Its all subjective.

I appreciate Patrick's argument but if you take the question for what it is, "which game tells a better story?" Then it has to be Portal because Portal actually tells a story, The Sims requires the user to tell themselves a story and thus the game is not actually telling anything... if you want to be literal about it, which I clearly do here.

As far as utilizing the medium better, The Sims (and therefore, Patrick) wins out. However, if I had to give the win based solely on the story told and its presentation, Portal wins hands-down.
