I had one of these in the 90's for a few years. I had a few other cars at the time, so I barely ever drove the Mark, but it when I did it was always cool. A big floating boat with a smooth ride! Mine was dark metallic green with a black top, it was really nice. It was a '74 though, so it had the big dumb looking safety bumpers.
Whatever happend to the days of hidden windshield wipers, auto release seat backs, 24oz carpeting, auto delay headlights, power vent windows, lighted opera windows, pull straps and rimblow horns? I know, they all went right out the window along with pride of ownership!!!!

If I was the president I would fire 90% of the employees at the EPA.I would then turn all the oil companies loose to drill.Next I would order Ford,GM,and Chrysler to start back building big block carburated engines 460's,454's,440's,455's.Finally I would make them start building cars like they used to BIG like tanks.Yeah,the big three used to make some cool cars.
One of the most beautiful cars (and to me THE most beautiful) Detroit ever designed. We could only enjoy the front grill this one year because the very next year the mandatory new bumper law went into effect and America's cars all had HUGE bumpers.
460 ci of displacement V-8 (remember when we used the term "cubic inches"?) powered this heavyweight, while inside it had the coolest interior, making Cadillacs look like Gramma's cars
@kirbygene - Well said, the '72 was the best Lincoln has ever designed. A 1985 Z28 rear ended me at a toll booth when I had mine and all I had to do was wax his paint off the bumper, his whole front end was ruined. I never should have sold it, dammit..
