Hopefully, more people can do this with the recent hacking info, but it may take a while. All the hacked Linux installs have been only using Gentoo (most of the emulators have only been tested on Yellow Dog Linux). Currently (for those w/ a non-slim PS3 and FW 3.15 or lower), Zerogame supports over 30 system emulations and is still being worked on.

@TheDanny908 linux is required for this to work. sony removed the other os feature after firmware 3.15 thereby killing linux on the ps3. If you have firmware 3.50 then you have been locked out from linux and this program for some time now. sorry. thanks for the sub.

@TheDanny908 the old responses and the comments in video are no longer true, it's now possible to run linux on gameos mode and only a matter of time before there's emulators that run directly on the ps3. You can directly thank sony for removing otheros after 3.15 firmware for giving everyone a reason to make that happen :) You can downgrade now but it's no longer needed.

@kingfurgill supposedly there is a new ps3jailbreak software that will let you downgrade. I havent seen it or tested it yet so I can say if it would give you linux back.

@niacinsoupbowl as long as you dont update you can keep it. you can also retain access to the psn by using a proxy or by changing your primary DNS on the ps3. see my preserve other os video for the method.

if your PC has a standard 19" monitor and you have a 42" LCD TV in your living room and the PS3 is your only console and you can't connect that PC to the TV (cause they are in different bedrooms) I don't see what's idiot about playing another consoles in your PS3. I played all the systems you mentioned in the video. There are also a number of systems that I didnt show that can be played with this set up. Further zerojay is planing on adding additional consoles to the the project in future updates. This project is exclusive to YDL.
