Mid-Late 90's Platformers (like Crash and Spyro) were epic, because they weren't super easy like modern games, but also, they weren't seemingly (SEEMINGLY. I'm not a gaming noob...) impossible, like older games (Yes, Mario, I'm looking at you).

They were just right. They were a challenge, but you could finish them without having years of practice. I miss the 90's...

@OriginalChaosLord y I remember playing the final world in mario 3, sheer hell haha, different design philosophies, but I endlessly prefer a relatively easy game like crash to the torture that is mario 3.

I usually finish most games on the hardest difficulty, but some games in the early 90s were just cheap hard, and not really fun to me.

@goodflo911 I have totaly different experience, when i was kid i used to play a lot of Mario 3 and thought it was pretty easy. When i got this game i couldn't finish the game for like two years. It was one of those dark levels that kept killing me over and over on third island, i remember that.

This game reminds me so much of Rayman 2: The Great Escape

the sound fx, the little voice clips, the music, the overall look of it. just about everything makes me think back to that game for some reason

@JoshXGreenton don'y forget Golden eye and OMG the Mission Impossible. The scariest thing about that game is the lady in the red dress following you but i faced my demons and semi recently, downloaded the N64 Emulator and defeated her :D!! I still can't get past the acid area of that level :(

it's not naughty dogs fault, They had a Contract with Universal studios (now Vivendi Games) that what ever they make, universal keeps the rights to thier games. in this case it was Crash bandicoot. the same deal with Insomniac's Spyro.

This is a 100% walkthrough as you see. To have 100% in this game you have to collect everything including gems. And you get gems for collecting every single crate in the level.
