  • hello my names chris would just like to say i wasn't the best at picking now thanks to you i am much better thanks buddy

  • I got to say!! You make it look so easy. I love the lessons. They are really helping me to make progress. I was wondering if you have grown your nails out to pick? I am having trouble making the sounds you make!!! (I have only been playing about a month now.

  • i am learning travis-writing to reach you im a croatian i hope to bring peace to my cuntry by singing this song to everyone

  • awsome thanks that was very helpful dude

  • hey his guitar is like demi lovato's

  • whats wrong with beer and weightlifting....

  • There's nothing wrong with beer, that's for sure :) Weighlifting, well, it requires efforts, so I am no fan of that part of it.

  • thanks so much! just thought i would tell you that this helped a lot.

  • oh my god, thank you so much! :) this helped alot.!

  • do you get paid to do this?

  • No, I do not :)

  • Yeah you do, dont lie !

  • HOW DO I LEARN WTF IS A REGULAR D CHORD??? IM VERY VERY VERY VERY NEW WITH GUITAR ~~~~~~~~ lol

  • just google it (middle finger on 2nd fret of the high e string, the ring finger on the 3rd fret on the b string and the index finger on 2nd fret on g string... be aware with that on...). btw, you can find any chords on internet, which is sometimes kinda helpful. nobody know all the chords!

  • Dude I love the first song. The one by Tom Petty. I wanna learn that one now. Keep playing bro you're really good

  • How much was that guitar ???

  • I paid $250 for it, With a case. I'd sell it for $175 :)

  • Have you sold it yet?

  • Nope, decided to keep her... for now :)

  • That's a shame. :P I was interested.

  • I saw that same guitar at a pawn shop... What model is it and how much do you think a reasonable price would be for it ??? Thanks

  • haha i love zakk wylde but i must agree with your explanation of him...great vid

  • You're a trip, man! I really enjoy your lessons. Thanks, I will be back!

  • dude you've made my midnight

im more of a metal kind of guy but i've always wanted to learn a slow, simple rythm

    thanks

  • Those chords are also in the song, Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie. Also nice video!

    Thanks!

  • hey, what is the name of the zakk wylde song, that you play the intro to... it sounds very good, and i would like to learn more.

  • I believe it's called way beyond empty from his pride and glory days...

  • When will you teach us Dsus3 , Dsus5 , etc, the odd numbered suspended chords?

  • Didn't think anyone who came to my site worried about those chords :)

  • the D major chord already contains the 3 and the 5 ..... (3 and 5 here r the 3rd and 5th notes on the D major scale)

so Dsus3 and Dsus5 dont exist

    Dsus4 basically means u play 1st 4th and 5th of the D major scale .....

Read some material on chord formation

  • attenshion !

    wow ur funniesh

  • whatever you say :)

  • you said attention funny so i laughed im sorry

  • That's cool... I am not a native English speaker as you may have guessed. It's my third language, so I say a lot of words funny, I am sure!

  • cool ;)

  • But seriously, though...lol

  • Another Great song which uses both D and Dsus4 is More Than A Feeling by Boston, the intro and first verse is just practicly picking between them :) good work

  • Thanks for that :)

  • Praise the Dsus4!

    haha good vid =P

  • I'm a beginner and although I was taught the chord yesterday, I couldn't for the life of me remember how to play it! Thanks for the lesson, it helped out a lot.

  • Glad to be of help

  • Thank you so much for all your hard work and great video's on youtube! I have learned so much from your lessons. You have a great teaching style and go slow enough that even begginers like me can follow along. We need more people in the world like you. Thanks from Bermuda.

  • Thanks for taking the time to post these kind comments!

  • Hi! Aeon from Germany here. keep up the good work.Could you upload more stuff for the accoustic guitar? an electric one is too expensive for me ..

  • Most of what I play electrically can be played on an acoustic :)

  • around 1:34 you can add a little bit more "flavor" by playing D, then leave the low E string open (leaving 3 on 3 and 1 on 2) , back to D, Dsus4, D, low e open (I just don't know the name), finish on a D. I do that a lot on songs that finish on a D

  • Thanks for the tip! :)

  • i have to use that phrase from now 'shift our focus of attention' !! fantastic!

  • Glad to be of help ;)
