Hmmmm... I cannot remember sir, sorry. I believe it could, I only used small type Elite 9.6v batteries with all of my guns though. I'd reccomend them, with some deans connectors, perfect!
Its been almost 2 years since I had that gun haha
@Cory1X lol my G&P viper locks up on semi sometimes...i have a feeling its cause the fire selector isnt secure though G&P's are very high quality so it isnt a original problem
Are you sure its not a G&G? Because im pretty sure they are the only ones who make a DMR of their own. G&P just makes the kit. Please correct me if im wrong.
Trust me mate, its a G&P. :) G&P makes the kit, but also sells the complete gun. G&G's dont have the same body style or trade marks. The bolt also does not go as far back as the G&P/Marui style.
It would be better to change your battery to deans. Much easier and better.
The range and accuracy of this gun is amazing, using a TM M14 hop-up design, arguably one of the best designs, you can easily hit 180ft+ accuratly. Thats the longest I tested it at since I didn't own it for very long.
It did double fire on Semi, alot of airsoft guns will do that. The reason for this is that there is a small peg that moves up and down as the fire selector plate moves. Sometimes the peg does not seat corectly - so when you fire it, the connect remains and you get two or more shots. Often times the vibration of the gear box seats the peg correctly and breaks the connection between the trigger mech and the batter and your full auto turns into a temp burst.
Thanks mate. That would be the cutoff lever. They wear out quite frequently on TM M14 style guns. I've replaced 3 cutoffs on 3 different TM M14 styled guns. 2 CYMAs, and one TM.
can it fit a large type battery?

How can you fire it that fast on semi auto? Most guns lock up when you pull the trigger that fast!

Check your selector plate, they sometimes get out of wack
Cory1X 10 months ago
is the bolt on yours really wobbly? it is on mine. also, you have to manually hold down the bolt catch for the bolt to stay back.
LWRCftw 1 year ago
@LWRCftw
Nope, my was super solid. My bolt catch also worked fine
Cory1X 1 year ago
@Cory1X you know that ring that goes around the bolt and the barrel? Mine is just sliding free. is there any way to tighten it up?
LWRCftw 1 year ago
@LWRCftw
I'm not sure. I would imagine there is, but I no longer have my M14. I sold it about a year or so back

why is it double firing on semi?
LWRCftw 1 year ago
@LWRCftw
Cutoff lever was wearing out. Pretty common on TM style V.7 gearboxes. Especially with the G&Ps.
Cory1X 1 year ago
@Cory1X It that easily fixable?
DuffleMuffins 11 months ago
@DuffleMuffins
The TM V.7 gearbox is kind of a pain in the ass, but yes it is easily fixable. Taking the gun down isnt too bad.

Is the G&P DMR conversion kit compatible with the G&G M14?
fwehbulous 1 year ago
@fwehbulous
Nope. The G&G/CA is its own design. CYMA/AGM/UTG/G&P/STAR are all TM M14 designs.

@Cory1X Hey FRIENDO, which company's make the best airsoft?

@sonicstorm10 Also, G&G's gun does NOT fire at 1200 rds/min. Just listen to that thing!

Heya, would you recommend this replica for a DMR role?
rhadiel 1 year ago
@rhadiel Yes I would. Its got great range and performance, a robust gearbox and great upgrade potential.
Cory1X 1 year ago
man do you confirm that the barrel is steel and not aluminium?
Also, how the finish? Is it gray or black?
It's a beautiful gun, my project is to make an m14 with G&P parts and a CAW wood stock.
So I'm mainly interested on externals.
UnsatisfactionGuaran 2 years ago
Can't say mate, don't have the gun anymore, the barrel is rock solid and the gun is built like a tank.
The finish is a flat grey/black, looks really good. Similar to a Springfield M1A in terms of looks. You won't be dissapointed with this gun.
Cory1X 2 years ago
oh well, this is enough for me, anyway, so thanks!
UnsatisfactionGuaran 2 years ago
What is the range like; accuracy at that range?
Would I need a deans adapter to use a large tamiya battery with it?

am i retarded or did it double fire on semi
LWRCftw 2 years ago
Thanks great to know im still debating if i should get this how did it preform when you had it?
Scarface1Ale 2 years ago
It was a great performer due to the Marui M14 hop-up design.
The cutoff lever wears out really fast in V.7 gearboxes. So that can be a pain to fix.
Cory1X 2 years ago
Oh ok thanks for the info.
Scarface1Ale 2 years ago
damn thats a good gun
5 damn stars man
obivlon 2 years ago
Nice rifle im thinking about buying this or the g&pm16a3 m203.
Hows the accuracy and what voltage of battery are you using?
Scarface1Ale 2 years ago
I was using a 9.6v battery. The G&P M16A3 would be a cool gun too. I'm partial to armalites. I actually traded this gun for a GBBR.
Thanks obivlon
