Catchy, but a bit of a departure from the rich, epic sound they usually produce. I guess I'm just such a fan of Ed Roland's vocals that I feel cheated when he holds back like this.

Man I thought the song Hollywood was a fluke dissapoinment but this single is a let down as well. It's like they are stuck totally in the 80's. For ther record I have every album since the beginning of their career & I've seen em live. I am a big fan but I think 2 poor singles released in a row from a new album is a first for these guys. I hate to say it but they have lost the magic. Every single released on their last their last album was up to par. Not the same standard they normaly produce.
Funny you should say that about their music being stuck in the 80's, because Ed said he intentionally visited his influences including The Cars in some of his song writing. When their Blender album came out I felt like they were making a departure from their staple sound, but I'm still a big fan. Oh well!
Very talented musicians, but perhaps pushed the wrong songs onto the radio off their new album, the true genius of Ed Roland is revealed in songs such as Georgia Girl and Adored
Excellent lyrics

Yeah it is sometimes awesome when a band chances their music as long as they know what they are doing.
