  • Georgia is Georgia. Greece is Greece. England is England ......and Abkhazia is ABKHAZIA!!!!!!

    So simple.

  • Iam Russian, and i have allready buy last year a House in Abkazia, its a real good please on the Black see"!

  • Whether Abkhazia was, is, or should be a part of Georgia doesn't matter anymore.

When the Abkhazians FORCED Georgian civilians in Abkhazia from their homes, KILLING many of them in the process, that is when they lost all claim to independence.

That is why nobody in the rest of the world except for some banana republics want to recognize you. You have shown that you are no better than dogs. If you had resisted Georgia in a humane way, you would have earned independence. Now, you earn shit.

  • @Unclemab Abkhazia is NOT georgia....Republic Of Abkhazia is Abkhazia

  • @Unclemab Ethnic cleansing is how countries assert their independence more often then how they forfeit it. Croatia, Kosovo, Israel...

  • Now its ours! No west!

  • filme de KGB! agent du kgb!

  • your fucking ASS! fuck up west! islam will kick your ass for all the wars and arrogance!

  • Glory to UNITED GEORGIA!!! Abkhazia and "Sauth Osetia" are the territories of Georgia!!! Russia is the enemy of Caucasisn nations. We've already seen that and Abkhazians and Osetians will see that very soon. We are brothers and must live together. For russian each of us is just a "черножопый" and they love the territory of Abkhazia and "S. Osetia" and not Abkhazians, Osetians or Georgians.!!!

  • Tell me Givi when was last time georgia succed in some thing? you dom fuck dont have enough balls to get back to georgia and try to succed in somthing. Glory to Abkhazia!!!

  • bloody hell.

people referring to maps of hundreds years old

come again? put that very same logic to the whole of Europe, and guess what??? Everybody should fight with every body...... nice hindsight !

Stupid idiots who keep hanging on maps of 300 years old. These people are the reason why we have so many stupid border wars. Just get over it that maps of 300 years old are not valid anymore and can never be a reference for now. Stick with it.

  • but the thing is Abkhaza was NEVER a par of Georiga!

it was STALIN (who was Georgian) who forced Abkhazia into Georgian republic as a part of his "soviet carreer".

so leting Abkhazia free must be a part of a cleaning process to get rid of Stalins policy!

  • well... in this kind of areas everybody has a different version of history. Rewriting history is done with every new government - yesi am cynical about that. very cynical because it has been proven true. Abkhazia was before soviet times, before stalin part of georgia. there were also times when it was not part of georgia... and then it waspart of another country, but not independent abkhazia. In any case, no matter how you turn it, it does not give the right to rob people from their houses.

  • Stalin forced Abkhazia into Georgian borders...

    Stalin was Georgian

    Georgia must release Stalins hostages!

  • @BANDiTiSM

Lie. Abkhazia was part of "Republic of Georgia" founded on 1918, without, or even despite Russia & Commies.

  • @BANDiTiSM Abkhazia has spent hundreds of years in the same state as Georgia, whether that was state was Georgian-ruled or not. Before the Red Army invaded, before Lenin and Stalin were in charge, Abkhazia was incorporated in the Georgian republic voluntarily. So there's your "never." Stalin had nothing to do with it.

  • In the VIII century, the Abkhaz established one of the most influential states of the time - the Abkhaz Kingdom. In the XI century as a result of dynastic marriages, this state fragmented into several minor independent Kingdoms. At this stage until the XIX century, Abkhaz and Georgians coexisted in two separate and independent countries.

  • At the very end of the 8th century, Abkhazian Achrontos (Byzantine-appointed Governor) Leon launched an anti-imperial uprising, ousted Byzantine troops from most of Lazica, proclaimed the Kingdom of Egris-Abkhazia and bestowed the title of the King upon himself. As of today, some verbal supporters of Abkhazian separatism mistakenly believe that the Kingdom of Egris-Abkhazia was the first state of the Apsuans.

That is wrong due to the fact that by its whole nature.

  • by its whole nature, Egris-Abkhazia was a pure example of a Georgian state: the majority of its population were Svans, Zans and Kartvelians (all the three groups were speaking closely related languages and were representing the branches of the furture Georgian nation), the official languages were Kartvelian (Georgian) alongside with Greek, the capital of the Kingdom was Kutaisi that was almost purely Kartvelian (Georgian) city.

  • Two decades later, Egris-Abkhazia also seceded from Byzantine Empire ecclesiastically: Egris-Abkhazian church broke with the Patriarch of Constantinople and went under the Jurisdiction of Antioch, than the Catholicos of Mtskheta (East Georgian Orthodox Christian Church) and switched the language of services from Greek to Georgian.

In fact, that was the creation of a Georgian church that has been existing since the above events excluding a relatively short period of time between 1810 and 1917.

Abkhazia is NOT Georgia! Abkhazia is Abkhazia!

  • YES MR. Hewitt - Pitsunda was part of the area Greeks called Colkhis (Kolchis)!!!

The Kingdom of Colchis, which existed from the sixth to the first centuries BCE is regarded as the first Georgian state. The term Colchians was used as the collective term for early Georgian tribes Laz- Mengrelians which populated the eastern coast of the black sea.

  • Laz-Mingrelians comprised the dominant ethnic and cultural presence in the region in antiquity, and played a significant role in the ethnogenesis of the modern Georgians.

  • The ancient Kolkhida area is represented roughly by the present day Georgian provinces of Mingrelia, Imereti, Guria, Adjara, Svaneti, Racha, Abkhazia and the modern Turkeys Rize Province and parts of Trabzon and Artvin provinces.

Let mi also note - In medieval Georgia, the town's name (Pitsunda) was spelled as Bichvinta.

  • Old Greek colony Pitsunda also served as the seat of the Western Georgian Orthodox Patriarchate of Abkhazia until the late 16th century when Abkhazia came under the Ottoman hegemony and and northern caucasian (modern Abkhazian) migration to Pitsunda and some parts of the Georgian Principality of Abkhazia

  • ALL CATHOLICOS (HEADS OF THE CHURCH) OF THE (WESTERN GEORGIAN) PATRIARCHATE OF ABKHAZIA WERE GEORGIANS

The Catholicos of Abkhazia mostly came from the leading Georgian noble houses, and were able to support the church financially and secure its continuous involvement in the political and cultural life of western Georgia.

  • Abkhazia Welcomes us...
