Mines R34 is built for time attack. Quick response, lighter body, ect. this is a street car built for speed and power. Mines has 590ps while this has 780ps. Signal R34 would beat the Mines on the road but a track, Mines would stand a high chance

@tecna64 Likewise. I take the R34 over the R35 anyday. The 35 is nice out the box and straight from the showroom but there's something special about the R34. It was the perfect RB26DETT powered GTR. More refined than the previous and all the bugs worked out. The V6 in the 35 just doesn't do it for me. Long live the RB

@tecna64 That's a good point. I'm not sure. The RB is a iron block I think. So because of that, I think they made the hoods and fenders of the GTR (32,33,34) very light to save weight. I know the GTS, GTST's and other lower models of the same number codes had heavier fenders and hoods. As far as it being lighter than the block of the V6, I don't know. I think that V38 engine is aluminum. Don't quote me on it. However the rest of the car is heay for sure. I'll research it.

BNR32, BCNR33 and BNR34. While the R35 GTR go with CBA35.

its the turbo, he mentioned that they switched to a single turbo setup, plus its bigger and boosts higher therefor the bov and the wastegate are working harder and creating that sound.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing, I've noticed that some Toyota Supras make that sound when shifting gears too. I'm not sure if it's the BOV or the wastegate? If anyone knows it would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Is it Tial? I'm thinking it might be...but not sure

That is a BOV. If my memory serves me correctly I believe that sound is from a HKS SSQV BOV.

often japanese tuners dont run a bov,i no the veilside drag cars dont. if it dont got a bov den its just the sound of the air coming back ot the front of the turbo and out the pod filter,if u got a turbo car disconect bov and try it. its hard on the turbos but no point venting boost wen ya racing ae.

Actually, This type of 3.0L Swap is done by using a RB30 block thats found in some export truck/sedan motor from Nissan, So overheating won't be a problem for it.

the only car that would be a competition for the skyline is the supra but the fastest street supra has a rb26dett even if the 2jz is 3.0l its no match for the 2.6l rb26 engine. the skyline is the god of japanese tuners but one thing that got me like WTF!! is that the new r35 is getting a v6 engine instead of the inline 6 that make the skyline a legend. we have a s14 silvia making 600whp with a rb25det check it out sometime.
