@pigpenpigpen1968 he carved the images and faces that were to be filmed into the walls before filling in the carvings with plaster and hiding the pre-cut out pieces. The plaster was jammed up with explosives so that when detonated, the plaster would break away, leaving the murals to be exposed and the other sections together.

It looks great and all, but it seem that he might have did some extra editing with the dry wall before exploding. I know its well controlled explosion but it just seem too perfect. Maybe he made some holes or cracks before adding the explosion a and dry wall.
