The iPod really is a gaming platform. They've already ported Unreal Engine 3 and idTech5 onto iOS 4. What does that mean? OpenGL 2.0 accelerated graphics and Xbox360 and PS3 like graphics on a handheld. Don't believe me? Search for 'project sword' or epic citadel or even idtech5 iPhone.

Uhh it kinda started off as that yeah and it was just called a media and entertainment device but seriously i have a DSi and theres some games that i really enjoy but most of them are crap. And its too bad the graphics is just such a let down. Good games have to make good use of the ds touch screen eg menu or opening stuff etc but most of them dont eg tapping it alot jist to dhoot somebody whereas ipods have wayy better games now and easily beat the ds at this

Its not the games on the ds its the DS psp is good coz it has great graphics gameplay and games. Ipod coz it has graphics, large gaming library AND media. Theyre games r also developing to large designers like square enix rockstar games and ubisoft. Ds sucks at graphics has ok gameplay and shitty library with a few treasured games. But the thing is NINTENDO DONT KNOW HOW TO DEVELOP THE DS. The 3ds has no difference in pixels WITH a larger screen making the resolution worse???

@TheCrappedDuck No, they do not. Sometimes they're either too sensible or irresponsive. And if you use one of those covers for iPhone, it gets hard to reach the edges of the screen with your thumb.

Trust me. For example, I played Assassin's Creed DS emulated and later Assassin's Creed on iPhone. On iPhone I died 10% more than I did on DS, and both games are basically the same.

Cause the of the PSP version's controls. Really a poor translation of quick events and whatnot. On the iP version for instance when you jump the jump button appears somewhere on screen (somewhere close to the edge you need to climb/jump over) but in the PSP version it just tells you to press X now
