Klonoa is simply amazing. I remember opening my brand new ps2 and playing "Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil". That game was revolutionary. As was "Klonoa: Door To Phantomile". Both games have heart. Both games have soul. Klonoa forever!!!

As someone who has been playing platformers for nearly two decades, this game never was that good anyway. Way too shallow and simplistic.

Platformers aren't meant to be that deep in a way. Your review has nothing constructive about it. Mario only jumped on turtles and brown thingies. does that make him simplistic? You can say you don't like the game engine but that doesn't make this a bad game. Klonoa favors puzzle elements and lots of story mounted content. If its not your type of game keep on walking. I hope on my side this game gets the recognition it needs to spur a third part. :)

Puzzle? Give me a break. Just how many platformers have you played that don't have 'Mario' or 'Megaman' in their title? I doubt the number is very high.

And Mario is not simplistic because in most cases the level design is excellent - not so on Klonoa because the oversimplified engine does not allow for it. It's basically an on-rails platformer (imagine an on-rails shooter, replace 'shooter' with 'platformer' and viola)

it's a remake, and most likely now is too large of a file to be Wii Ware. Remember, there is a size limit on those games. If it was just a straight PS1 port, I would agree with you.

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is one of my absolute favourite games I have ever played in my entire life. Untamed Heart is the best music piece I have EVER heard in my ENTIRE life, bar none. Absolute classic, all of it. Flawless ahead-of-its-time design.
