We Lost our Eskie, Casper last week. He was only 4. We are a broken family and not handling this well. I didn't think this could compare to a human death,but it does and I feel guilty for feeling so. I just lose it at little tufts of fur still clinging to anything.

@barrysgrl74 I had to put my baby, Raja, to rest the day after New Years. I haven't had the heart to move her dishes from my dresser. God knows what I'm going to do with her food and brush and nail clippers. I'm a wreck. I hope you know Casper loved your family dearly and he's not hurting anymore, so neither should we!

@sguasp27 oh dear. i'm terribly sorry. we did aquire Bolt, another Eskie a few weeks later and while he could never replace our Casper, he sure does bring some giggles into the house. I wasn't sure I wanted another so quickly, but after seeing the conditions Bolt was in we took him home IMMEDIATELY! Just something about this breed I have never known in other dogs. It's hard to describe.

A month ago we adopted a mini eski. She was mentally abused. Shequoia is a beautiful, loving little girl. Her and our papillon are now the best of friends.

I want to get one of these when I get my income tax refund money. I want the toy size, though. My cream colored chihuahua, Sierra, died last April and these kinda look like her but I know they're not chihuahua's. I thought of two names so far but they seem like boy names - boba or polar. I would probably have to get a female because my maltese isn't spayed. If I got a male I'd have to have him neutered. Does anybody think these names wouldn't mattler for a girl eskie?

@battywattywoo size strength stamina... a samoyed is for sled pulling ( that sort of thing)  the minature american eskimos are more for indoors.
