What weight category are you on man? My advise as a taekwondo enthusiast going into MMA, do not put down your hand guards when doing Front kicks, SideKicks or 45s.
Also, work on your Left Jabs.
You already have Ground game and Rythm. Amazing! keep it up.
Keep it up man. Put in the hard work and you can achieve your goal. I would also echo what a few others have said already, work out more than 3 times a week. I was a club level distance runner and when I was doing that I was running 7 days a week (half-marathon distance in 1hour 25mins), sometimes twice a day. I'm sure fighters would have to do the equivalent in terms of their work outs to get to the top of their game. I'm wishing you good luck man! Train hard and wise.
I really hate to say this but you will need to bump up the number of your training sessions. You have to do this. If your ultimate goal is UFC then that has to be your top priority. Every training session has to be you constantly fighting with your conciousness to overcome the unbearable pain of throwing 300 leg kicks, executing 100 sprawls, performing 500 burpies, slinging kettle bells for countless sessions. If you can overcome this, then you can do whatever it is you want.
Only thing I really have to say is leg kicks bro. I don't know how much you work on them but leg kicks. Those well mess up anyones day. Turn your hips and get the snap. Work on them, takes away their shot, power, speed, and mobility. Throw like 10 a round. It's the most basic thing but keeps them at a good distance and if you can get the power in it like Pat Barry does. OWWWWW.
You should upload a video of you groundgame sessions, and i noticed that on your high kicks your right hand stayed down. I've been taught that you need to keep it up since it allows to block more takedowns and punches.
If your gonna focus more on a muay thai/kick boxing stand up style for the future, make sure your ground defense is top notch. If your stand up is far beyond your GG talent , start focusing 1/3 of your training towards stand up and 2/3 to wrestling and Jiu Jitsu. I love muay thai but it opens A LOT of opportunity's for your opponent to shoot the double or single on you. Besides training study video's too , my personal favorite is Eddie Bravo's "mastering the system"... Youtube: twistereddie :]
Im no expert on mma striking but i have a good bit of boxing knowledge. You have power in your hands and your technique is solid but i would suggest you transfer your weight into each punch that will increase your power. When throwing your jab you want to snap it and bring back a quick as possible. One more thing when throwing your hooks use your hips not your arm. All and all you look solid and i hope you achieve your dream i and wish you luck.
you look good but I think youd look a lot better if you were more serious in training. try to murder those pads... get yourself psyched up... get mean! your technique is fine dont worry about it.
awesome man, hard work and deterimination are the best tools to have and you have those....im 18, grew up the fat whimpy kid who didnt play sports...i started MMA 4 months ago, i weighed 205 and im now down to 163...i train 5 days a week in muy thai and juijitsu, i plan on doing this 2 years before i will go into the cage...its safe for me to say that MMA saved my life haha
pretty cool man keep practicing and keep doing fights ...dont let anyone tell you u wont make it to a big league......and if u ever get knocked out and lose a fight say fuck it and train harder!!!!
When u kick and punch do it with full force and loud voice...and when u spare keep your guards a lil bit high otherwise you'll get knocked the fuck out in a real fight..
