In this particular case, the entity of fear, which in the DC universe of Green Lantern is represented by the color yellow. Green is the color of Willpower, so the two are diametrically opposed and natural nemeses, hence the Lantern's weakness to it. Well, there's more to it then that, but that's the short of it. Yes, I do read comics so I care about this stuff. Think what you will of it.
