What I want most Americans to know is, if America falls, it falls because of us! Either because we didn't do enough, or we let the elites run our country into the ground. It's up to us who live here, to take care of our country, not just politicians. Too many people have become apathetic and I hope that continues to change.
when you say "didnt do enough" I want to scream. All you have to do is enact the national initiative and then we as citizens can force our government to represent US instead of the corporations that paid for their election. Its that fucking simple!
The Civil war was about destroying states rights and creating a new class of citizenship that would eventually bring all people of the states under federal jurisdiction.
You are a 14th Amendment US Citizen! Regardless of your race, don't even dare to think you are as free as white males were prior to the 14th! We are ALL something lesser!

YES. HE. DOES! He wants to completely abolish all of our federal institutions and deminish the size of our federal government to nothing but the pentagon and the federal reserve. No schools, no hospitals, no new energy policies, No nothing. Just wants to sit on his hands and close his eyes to the crisis we face. He wont even admit that its because of Americans addiction to oil that is causing these wars. He just says "cut taxes" and everyone flocks to him.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
luckily he stands about as well a chance at being elected president as I do. but just thought you guys should know exactly what it is you're supporting. basically the corrosion of our nation into 50 countries instead of one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all!
he has no chance? is that why you're trolling videos trying to persuade people not to vote for him? you're either an imbecile, or a slimy stooge, which is it?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm a fucking patriotic American trying to stir things up. And its really funny hearing a Ron Paul follower preach to me about trolling considering you guys are the most despicable trollers there are on the net. You resort to name calling cuz you know I'd tear you to sgreds if you actually tried to debate me.
He has stated many times that these unconstitutional wars have been about oil. Consider the point that Ron makes about monetary policy. We have no money---we are in debt. Ron stands against corporate fascism. You might disagree with parts of his message but you need to understand that he is the only viable peace candidate. We need to unite.
"only viable candidate". Why is that excuse enough for you to avoid taking responsibility for your own country by enacting the national initiative? He says it's about oil but thats where he stops. He doesn't say it's because of Americans lousy consumerism. He never tells us its our fault. Its always the governments fault. and if its about oil then whats his plan to create sustainable energy?
"Let the markets decide" well "the markets" are what started this war so we'll just end up impoverished or in more wars. no solution. Just a lot of grand standing and dramatic talk about the problem. We all know the problem whats Rons solution? cut spending? how is cutting spending and lowering taxes going to create energy?
and he admits that we're falling under a corporate fascism. and his solution is LESS regulation? please explain to me how THAT works??? Let the states decide? well the state officials are bound to the special interests (markets) in their district that pay for their elections so that wont work either. Let the Chevron come up with an energy solution? yea Texaco and chevrons solution was to invade Iraq!
Yes LESS,,,I read an article, about a business man who wanted to manufacture men's clothing. He went and opened up a factory in China. Why? It wasn't paying help or cheap labor.
It would have taken 5 years in America with all the regulations to build, permit and organize. It only took 8 weeks in China.
Regulation by goverment favors BIG business. Plain and simple. They want the small business out of business through regualtion taxation. Like $15,000 just for a buidling permit,,,,
so we should lower our standards to China's standards? I hope thats not what you're saying..Sounds like that guy just didn't want to follow the rules and wanted to exploit China's deplorable standards so he could turn a quick profit at the expense of his own country. But you go ahead and think that China's better then us. While they're in a rush to turn their entire country into an industrial wasteland.. Any of you other fuckers wanna try and take a shot at me.
NO. HE. DOES'NT!He wants to completely abolish all of our federal institutions and deminish the size of our federal government to nothing but the pentagon and the federal reserve. All the schools (they are supported by State's taxes) All the hospitals (they are corporate, university, non-profits, charitable foundations) The DOE has sat on its ass and supported oil.

Who's the weak minded one, the one who resorts to cussing and name-calling rhetoric or those who are working together to change the country? Since when did respectful debates resort to name calling?

so you admit that you prefer to live under a republican dictatorship then a democracy because you don't trust the majority of Americans to make good decisions? How patriotic of you. And it would certainly protect minorities because it would give all the minorities in this country the chance to unify and cohesively act to preserve their liberty! "Let the states decide" as Paul says Certainly doesn't protect minorities. Look at Colorado where its legal to fire someone for being gay.
If we had a national ballot to impeach Cheney America would pass that in a flash and then congress would have to address it by law. Then because its backed by the majority of Americans congress will be afraid to vote against it because it'll be obvious that it's what America wants. What it will do is force our elected representatives to actually represent us. instead of the special interest groups that paid for their election
We are a Republican government - not a dictatorship (we are moving that direction though, as you know, with the philosophies of both Clinton and Bush) - the executive should only enforce the laws not create them and start wars as Clinton and Bush have. Rule of Law - not he rule of men - it really is the way toward peace.
its either a democracy or a dictatorship. Its that simple. One or the other. Thats all there is when considering human governance. Stop lying to yourself and the rest of us and either admit you enjoy living under a dictatorship (whether they be elected dictators or not) Or enact the national initiative and lets work together to address the issues that we feel most directly effect our Lives as citizens With our elected representatives
Bullshit. When a labor union bankrupts an auto manutacterer, does that corp sue consumers? No, they borrow $1 billion from the treasury, like Chrysler. Then they marry for money (Daimler-Chrysler). Then their wealthy wife divorces them for 16¢ on the dollar and sprints back to Germany, saying "Danke Gott. Kein mehr, bitte!"
States rights is a tactic by the far right to take this country backwards to obtain their objectives. It's like term limits without public campaign financing. The monied interests are then able to finance their rotating candidates into office more easily than can ordinary people who don't have as much free speech power (money). That's another reason we need to be lawmakers and represent ourselves. Yes to Gravel's National Initiative.
I wish this thumbs up/down thing wouldn't hide your comments - understand I'm not trying to attack you. As you probably know, the founders of our country did not believe in democracy - they called it mob rule. Now they weren't perfect but they have a point if you think about it.
I for one am in favor of the minority that has help power for too long being put out of power. They are a danger to the majority and to the peoples of the rest of the world. I want the majority of people to determine their future not a few men who have made an almost TOTAL MESS OF IT! Laws are made by people not by laws. Let the people make laws. Yes to National Initiative.
they only disagree with MOB Rule when its NOT THEIR MOB! Bunch of cop outs that don't trust their own country. How patriotic. and its not really mob rule when you consider the rich diversity that America exhibits. You'll notice that none of them out right admit that they prefer living under a dictatorship. They always say the same thing "the founders said this" "the founders said that" yea and the founders had SLAVES! do you want SLAVES? The founders said it was OK to have slaves.
Actually, some founders did not like slaves. But they accepted the constitution, even though it wasn't perfect. And there was a constitutional amendment to ban slavery.
Also, you have no clue what libertarianism is if you think Gravel is more of a libertarian.
well the root word of libertarian is "liberty" and he's written the national initiative which gives us more liberty then we ever thought possible. So in essence he is far more libertarian then Paul. Paul's for even bigger government then we have now you just don't realize it. If we wiped out all of our social standards we would end up living under corporate fascism which is what Ron Paul is actually fighting for. Get rid of big government by unleashing big business on us? oh how liberating...
You lack integrity. Nothing you say is true, some of what you say is akin to Jabberwocky. Unleashing big business? Our government currently subsidizes big business. Are you unaware of this? Our current system has already unleashed big business on us. Are you blind? Ron Paul has argued on the floor of congress against such practices. Are you stupid or a liar?
Although few people realize it, the main enabler of big and monopolistic corporations is easy loan money. Thomas Jefferson predicted 200 years ago that if we ever had loose money policy the banks AND corporations would rule us. Ron Paul is the main candidate pushing to reform fractional reserve banking and thus take away the unfair advantage which corporations have.
main candidate for what? congress? yea he'll have a lot of power being one out of 500 members of congress. he'll be able to give a speech once in awhile. that really justifies him getting 30,000,000 dollars in his pocket...
why not fight for a national initiative to change the money policy?
if you're against citizens having the right to vote on the issues rather then just electing representatives to address the issues for us then you are clearly saying that you prefer to live under elected republican dictators over a free democratic society. I just want to hear you admit it out right.
Because it's not. Musharraf is a dictator, he was never elected. He has support of 8% of the people. Learn history before you spew random crap.
Now Bush also has too much power, and that's because the people are apathetic and careless. Even concerned citizens like yourself are uneducated on what the President and Congress have the ability to do, you think a Rep. Republic and yet you don't even know what it is.
yes its a representative republic and thats the problem. Human behavior dictates that we are all here looking out for our own self interest. So people get elected, first they're bound to their party's public perception, then they're bound to the people that payed for their election, then they're bound to their states councils.
