I would say the M27 IAR as the best LMG. It's essentially a M416 with 46 rounds in the mag instead of 30. You will need to be a fairly high level to unlock it for the russian team though.

I did NOT know the knife animation had that sort of range on it @ 7:45. You can try for the knife a few meters out and if you miss, you have a second to pull out your gun and choot(that gator) him before he sees you. Good to know, I usually get greedy with the knife and wind up getting shot!

I think its cheap to run around with the RPG equipped all the time and use it on them, but sometimes there is no other option or the situation calls for you to use it (for example they run behind cover or something).

Oh and G18 is fine in my opinion.
