I had read all of the Harry Potter books ,except for the Deathly Hallows, when I went to see Part 2. I wanted to be suprised. And I definitely was. Tears fell down my face throughout this entire scene. Not knowing anything, seeing Snape die, and then this after it.... it hits you hard in the face.
I almsot CRIED when I saw this. It was really touching. I mean I still cannot believe that Dumbledore was that intellegent to call everything that happened and set everything up for Harry to deliever the Checkmate. Atleast Snape was able to protect Harry ultimately. I'm just sad that when Harry put on teh ring, that he didn't see Severus. Great acting by Alan Rickman, Geraldine Somerville and Toby Regbo.

I don't mind the words. Even if it's spelled wrong, I know what you actually meant and it was still really good. If I were you I would probaly do the same thing and rush and do it just like what you said in the description! Also, was this from a movie theatre?
I cried all the way through this part of the movie. I always hated Snape cuz of his open hatred toward Harry and James Potter. Who knew he was in love with Lily and was actually protecting Harry not sabotaging or killing him? I thought of Severus in a totally different way after this... he was a true hero. Sad he and Harry couldn't make up completely b4 he died. RIP Severus Snape.

Im a 22 year old Guy, I swear i have cried in emotional films, but this scene made me fucking Bawl like a Girl, never cried like that in any film of my life maybe the end of Black swan but not like this,lucky i was alone, there are other scenes that brought tears to my face aswell.
I first saw this at my mothers house a 19 years old, and a male. I have read all the books since they came out. No other movie scene has ever need me restrain my tears. This is exactly as I pictured it when I read it.

When I saw this at the midnight opening, the theater was packed, and dead silent after this scene. You could hear a pin dropping from the opposite end of the stadium.

This clip gave me the impression that Dumbledore knew in advance what was happening throughout the series. He probably knew that the events in Goblet of Fire would lead to Voldemort's return but he didn't know how and when. He knew all along that Draco wants to kill him as well as Voldemort creating some horcruxes and that Harry is one of them even before the events of "Half-Blood Prince". I'm surprised that Harry didn't catch on that he's a Horcrux once he learned about them.

i have always believed that snape wasn't evil. that he was indeed good and not evil. This scene just proved it to millions what I already believed. Just as i believed Draco was never really evil. Starting at his death all the way through the memories i cried and couldn't stop. I didn't stop crying until after Neville's speech. In every other movie, I've only been watching. When this came on the screen, the lines completely blurred. I was so involved that when I saw Lily lying on the floor dead, all I could think was, "No. Please no. Lily, please be alive. Please get up. Lilly?" If Alan Rickman does not get some recognition at the Academy for making me feel Snape's emotions, I will be pissed.
@Disneythievesrock Totally agree with you Alan Rickman s a very good actor who portrays the character's emotions so well that you cant help but feel the emotions. another awesome movie of his is called Snow Cake. its a very heartfelt movie that I think is a must see.
In the book, Snape doesnt go to the house after Lily and James are killed. I think this is one example where the film made the right choice to divert from the book. This scene is beautiful.

It's really very important to have subtitle on every film. I suppose there where you are from it's not these way. I live in Brasil, so we can choose dubbed films, films with subtitle or both. My mother is deaf, she wasn't born deaf. She was losing her hearing because of an illness she had as a child.

When I saw this at the midnight opening, the theater was packed, and dead silent after this scene. You could hear a pin dropping from the opposite end of the stadium.

Its very easy to keep a series going, its hard to complete a series by ending it. This is one of the best endings i have seen for a fantastic series.

This clip gave me the impression that Dumbledore knew in advance what was happening throughout the series. He probably knew that the events in Goblet of Fire would lead to Voldemort's return but he didn't know how and when. He knew all along that Draco wants to kill him as well as Voldemort creating some horcruxes and that Harry is one of them even before the events of "Half-Blood Prince". I'm surprised that Harry didn't catch on that he's a Horcrux once he learned about them.

i have always believed that snape wasn't evil. that he was indeed good and not evil. This scene just proved it to millions what I already believed. Just as i believed Draco was never really evil. Starting at his death all the way through the memories i cried and couldn't stop. I didn't stop crying until after Neville's speech. I just hope that snape found happiness in the end or at least some peace at long last. Long Live the Bravest of them ALL! PROFESSOR SEVERUS SNAPE THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!!!!

In every other movie, I've only been watching. When this came on the screen, the lines completely blurred. I was so involved that when I saw Lily lying on the floor dead, all I could think was, "No. Please no. Lily, please be alive. Please get up. Lilly?" If Alan Rickman does not get some recognition at the Academy for making me feel Snape's emotions, I will be pissed.

In the book, Snape doesnt go to the house after Lily and James are killed. I think this is one example where the film made the right choice to divert from the book. This scene is beautiful.

I know i should have and i got the lecture from about 30 people more.. but i was so exited to put it in..on..and then thier some words that i cant hear right. cuze im hard of hearing..So next time..when i put a vid. i will use spell check i promise :) just i work really hard to hear something like 30 times i hear the same sentence to get it better..so imagine how many times i had to go through this one..hehe.. It's really very important to have subtitle on every film. I suppose there where you are from it's not these way. I live in Brasil, so we can choose dubbed films, films with subtitle or both. My mother is deaf, she wasn't born deaf. She was losing her hearing because of an illness she had as a child.

Same here i wasnt born Deaf, im now hard of hearing cuze i had a really high fever, when i was 1yr old..so now im Deaf on my right ear n about 60% of hearing on left. @FriendlyDeafAngel7 I understand that you're hard of hearing, but that's no excuse to use improper grammar and put in words that don't even make sense. Think about it, what would make sense? "...kill me Severus, it the only way", for example. No one would say, "it the only way". They'd say "it is the only way". And who'd be calling someone a swang? It's not even a noun, it couldn't be used in that context. Common sense, my dear friend.

I told the last person who was i dont know the 20th person or 30th person, that i should have gotten it from the book. but i was exited and wanted to see if i could do it on my own. Sadly now i know that i should have gone to the book for help. as for the word Swang, im sorry but i really thought it sounded like that. If you saw the previews post that i wrote u will see how bad my hearing is.
