Interested to hear your thoughts about James Frey and his fiction factory (another commenter also mentioned it.) It's pretty google-able if you haven't seen the coverage on it.
The movie wasn't all that great to me, but I am considering giving the book a shot if you think it was all that and a bag of chips. Just have to hunt it down.
I agree Sara was even annoying in the movie but I haven't read the book yetbut I wanna read it now. I know Sam is adorable I loved him in the movie he had me cracking up through the whole thing! Haha
liked the book tho slow at first it was really interesting! and i hate the movie its so disappointing as a movie without even comparing it to the book.
I loved I Am Number Four. The movie I just didn't connected with. I saw it after reading the book. I just don't think it did the book justice. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
the power of six has a lot more action in it, and you fall in love with Sam even more. I agree. I love Sam as well. He is such an adorable character. Although, every time I read the books, I picture them being older because of the movie.
*Spoilers if you have not read book nor movie*
I didn't like how Henri dies earlier in the movie because he was one of my favorite characters in the story and i cried when he died, but it was depressing when he died 3 scenes too early.
I was kind of unsure if I wanted to read this book or not but I'm not sure if that's because of the book itself or because I'm kind of put off by the whole James Frey Fiction Factory thing (and just James Freys involvement in general). I might give it a chance now though. =P
I sort of liked the movie though. Six was my favourite character.
I really liked the movie, so...since books are usually better than the movie adaptations - this series is totally on my wish list. =D On the side: lol... if I found out my boyfriend was an alien - I wouldn't be askin ANY questions! That ***** would be starin' at the bottoms a meh shoes as I ran away! haha!!!!
I really liked the movie! I felt the same way about the characters, there wasn't nothing special about them (besides six!). Other than that I thought the book was good!
I rarely feel movies are better than books but I do have my exceptions and this one almost is better. I think it is just about the same for me. I totally think that Six should be Johns love interest because Sara is not a strong enough character.
If you like this book you should read Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It´s about a girl, who´s a book-blogger and she falls in love with her new neighbor but he is also an alien. It´s so much better than I am Number Four and the characters are really great.
I love Six!!! Especially in the movie haha. Some people have told me they like the movie better than the book but I think they are about equal which is hard to do in and of itself because I don't think a movie can ever be better than the book but I do think they can be just as good or almost as good as the book, which is what this movie is to me. I am in the middle of The Power of Six right now and I am loving it!
I loved the book and the movie. Can't wait to read the 2nd The Power of Six which I believe is about Number 7. My favourite characters in the book and movie are John, Henri, Sam and Number 6 :)
Amazing review! :) I love the lorien legacy books. Its such a unique story which i think is why i liked it so much. However i agree with your thoughts on the characters :)
love your review..:!:D.. so i loooved the book but idk like you said Sarah is so plain and in the movie adaptation i were crazy.. like i wnated to stoped the movie ´cuz it was so annoying the way the did it i mean they moved a tones of scenes and i felt the book better because i felt the movie so short .. but it´s my opinion though!:D. love your reviews°
I really love this book, and I despise the movie with a passion. My favorite characters are definitely Sam, Henri, and Bernie. I read the second book but didn't feel it lived up to expectations and I didn't care for it. But this one is awesome, it sucks I can't find the book in hardcover anywhere. : /
