technically you did not raise it. you just put a stiffer spring in witch took the sag out of the suspension. with no sag the truck will become more pron to roll overs. YOU WANT SAG even if its a little it still helps with over all performance and handling. if you are having troubles bottoming out then increase the shock oil weight.stock traxxas comes with 30wt. judging on how you where testing the suspension it looked like there was no oil cause it was all spring when it rebounded.
@garethough You just need to put stronger springs on the shock column and there you go, The stronger spring just allows you to go off really high jumps but you will flip it very easy if you turn too sharp going fast.
@cman3361 I'm not sure what the name was but ask someone at the store for a pack of 6. The package has 3 sections, each with 2 springs in them. The colors of the 6 springs were candy apple red, black and a kind of yellow/eggshell color.
yep, looks high and does help to dissapate the hard landings if you are going big but that's pretty much all it's good for...... The reason you have a 4wd and sitting low-ish is that the shocks ABSORB irregular bumps and kep the centre of grav stable while haulin ass. I use this setup on the beach or jumpin big but way lower if racing against others. chech out full size baja racing and you will understand what these shocks are designed for
@cman3361 Ya as long as you have big bore shocks these springs will work for ur 2wd. I got them at Hobbytown USA In westimster co. just off 92nd and wadsworth
@MrReptileCatcher not really, lifting it allows you to go off much bigger jumps without the chassis, front bumper, and slipper clutch cover grinding into the ground and possibly damaging other components. This makes it look like a bad ass truck too.
just crank up the tension on the springs! put shock spacers if they're stock coilovers or twist the mounts if they're aftermarket coilovers!
